Pagebound combines old-school internet forums with robust book tracking—every book has its own forum. We are indie, anti-AI, and built by 2 women. Discuss books as you read them and earn points & badges for tracking your reading.
EXPERIENCE SOCIAL READING
Read with others, without the commitment of a book club. Whatever you’re currently reading, post thoughts, theories, ideas, reactions, and more to that book’s forum. Sort posts by % read to read along with people from all over the world. Anyone with that book in their library will see and can interact with your post, so it’s really easy to start discussions and make new reader friends.
GAMIFY BOOK TRACKING
Earn badges that reflect your reading taste by completing reading challenges—Main Quests and Side Quests. Accumulate points for tracking your reading, sharing your thoughts, and contributing to the community. Showcase your badges on your profile and unlock fun rewards.
ORGANIZE YOUR LIBRARY
Plan your TBR (to-be read) by month or year. Rate books in half-star increments with sub-ratings for enjoyment, quality, characters, and plot. Track your books accurately with Paused and DNF (did not finish) reading statuses.
MAKE READER FRIENDS
Connect with other readers based on what you think, not what you look like. With anonymous profiles, no algorithm and private follower counts, we connect readers based on shared taste in books, not clout.

Pagebound is truly THEEEE BEST book tracking app out there. Honestly just the best bookish app in general. Simple and easy to use, super aesthetically pleasing, and the community on there?? Out of this world!🙌🏽🙌🏽 The creators genuinely just care about giving users the best possible app and experience, so they’re on there all the time interacting with users and taking suggestions on how to improve the app. I’ve been on the app since it came out and it’s already grown so much!! I love the book rating system, which allows for an overall rating as well as ratings on specific aspects of a book, like how much you enjoyed it versus how good the quality is, or a rating for the characters in the novel versus a rating for the plot. If you’re looking for honest, well thought out, critical reviews, Pagebound is a great place for that. Also if you’re looking for engaging conversations, both about specific books and about literature/literature adjacent things in general, Pagebound has a discussion page where you can ask questions and answer ones posted by other users! Everyone is so friendly, understanding and well spoken on there🥹🥰 There are lots of design aspects that ensure one thing: the books come first! It’s not about follower count, it’s not about popularity, it’s not about what’s the newest or trendiest thing. It’s really just a place FOR book lovers made BY book lovers! ♥️♥️

First of all, YES. You can transfer your data from G**dr**ds and other apps as a you start your Pagebound account. Now for my review. I fell in love with this platform when I was first introduced to the web version. I saw it evolve and even had the opportunity to do some beta testing for the App. Now that the App is out, I’m still seeing some great additions to the platform as it updates. Needless to say, I’m a huge fan of Pagebound; how it functions as a platform, the amazing community feel that it has, and the fun-ness of the gamification of reading. From seasonal read-a-longs, to half-star review system, to (my favorite part) being able to post in forums for each book as you are consuming it in real-time, and discuss the book with others who are reading it or have read it. I feel that Pagebound takes everything we love about other book tracking apps, adds its flare of design and community, and makes it the best App for not only tracking your reading journey, but interacting with other lovers of books, and making it fun along the way. If you’ve tried other apps and don’t like them, try PB! If you’ve tried other Apps and love them, still try PB! I think it’ll be your new favorite.
better than goodreads and all the others by a mile

immediately this app helped me get out of my reading slump! i was lucky to have an irl friend introduce me and interact with me on there, but honestly the top contributors rlly do a great job at keeping so many new people involved and welcomed. posting my progress and getting involved in forums really helped me become better engaged in what i was reading and how much i WANT to read. i'm also lucky to have irl book clubs, but there are so many users that are more than happy to read a book with you now or plan a read-along in the future (and maybe even get more people involved!) there's also a built in book club feature with the seasonal and special read-alongs created by the co-creators of the app & top contributors. a lot of the app is game-ified as well which is charming, with quests to earn badges and a built in points system that can get you to higher levels. the read more you read and engage with yourself and others about what you're reading, the more the app rewards you. people want to have fun with you. it may feel overwhelming as a newbie, but there's even a club forum that works as a general conversation hub and a way to search up or ask questions about how to better navigate the app. there isn't a paywall to anything but actual Suggestions for the website/app, but everyone gets to view what is being requested and the status of their request! often the co-creators will get to your question with an answer or solution already in tow. the membership is mainly to access the suggestions, a cute little crown above your avatar, and getting to show offer 6 badges instead of the normal 4. the rewards for membership are small, but really in my mind what you're paying for is all the work it takes for these two women to keep this app AD FREE and ANTI-AI ! it's so important and impressive to me the community that pagebound creates. i love this app!
Great tracking and features, toxic environment
lifein1973
I really enjoy using this app for the tracking and other features, especially the Plan feature. Unfortunately, the social environment is incredibly toxic. Anyone who criticizes anything related to the app or founders are immediately attacked and piled on by the so-called TCs (top contributors who are individuals hand picked by the founders without there being any firm criteria of how they are picked other than “making consistent, significant contributions” and “enrich[ing] Pagebound’s book forum.”) So in other words, it’s very subjective, and many people who are TCs (not all of them, but definitely a bunch of them) contribute to making the social aspects very toxic. They are extremely cliquey, and they have a secret forum *built on the app* in which they can discuss things, which contributes to the cliquey feeling. The TC program is a problem in that it gives a group of people an “enhanced” status and contributes to some of them feeling like they can get away with talking to other users a particular way. Many people I’ve spoken to have felt negatively about there being a group of people with a special status who are not moderators in any way but act holier than thou. All that to say, I will be continuing to use the app for its tracking features, but engaging socially outside my follower list much, much less.
