Just as the title says. First of all, just update your original app, don’t make a new one and call it “better”. It just uses the web to access most stuff. It opens your browser and nothing is native for booking or managing. Did you even test this before hand? Your old app was better. Seems like a beta that they accidentally released.

This new version of the app is an indication of how Virgin Atlantic appear to have lost their way. Not an upgrade to the existing app, but you need to replace one with the other - why….every other company seems to be able to upgrade in place. Same with our booking - both departure time and return changed several times - Virgin only bothered to tell us once. Had to change our rental car arrangements both times - no apology, just here’s your new times and better hope you’re looking at our horrible new app to tell you we’ve changed your flights again, because we can’t be bothered to send you another email.Been a long time since we flew Virgin - this was a reintroduction - likely to be the last time with this level of amateurish customer service.

I wish I read other reviews to not delete old app before I “upgraded”. This new app is completely unusable. There is no possibility that it was properly user tested before releasing. Why would Virgin be pushing on old app to upgrade to this new app when it is clearly not ready for public use. So frustrated. Ended up having to go to the website to get my ticket info for a flight and then screenshot it so I have something to show to go through security! (Other option … I will have to go to check in desk when I’m only traveling with carry on and have them print out my ticket like it is 2010).

This app will easily be the most frustrating part of your trip. Buttons regularly don’t work or send you to the Virgin website (where you will have to log in - again - and find your way), your details (such as passport etc) are never remembered, meaning you will have to input them numerous times. Attempts to upgrade or change seat / flight often end in error messages and reroute you. Even checking in to your flight will require numerous app refresh attempts. If you make it all the way through, never fear! The app will still crash on you. Easily the worst app of all the major airlines.
A little tidy-up, plus bug fixes, for a smoother ride.
