Aperio Ephemeris

An Insightful Ephemeris

$0.99

An astronomical almanac for introspection. Now see when each planet rises tonight, when the Moon meets Jupiter, and where Venus stands in its cycle. In 14 languages. Aperio Ephemeris: An Astronomical Almanac for Contemplative Practice Aperio (Latin for "reveal") is a location-aware astronomical almanac, or ephemeris, that makes important celestial events available to you in an easy-to-browse manner. What Aperio Ephemeris Offers The Moon's Journey: Displays the moon's journey through its phases, with supermoons and micromoons called out by name. See when Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn rise, stand highest, and set tonight — with how high and how bright each one is right now. Navigate forward and backward through the lunar cycle to see moon sign changes and sun sign ingresses. See the full twilight ladder — civil, nautical, and astronomical dawn and dusk — alongside sunrise, solar noon, and sunset, plus the exact moment the Sun and Moon reach their highest point each day. Tap Venus to see where it stands in its 584-day cycle. See the days the Moon rides further north or south than the Sun ever does, and where we are in the 18.6-year rhythm behind that. Understand subtle shifts within a day through the current planetary hour. Yearly Cycles: Situate your personal time within the larger solar cycle. See the changing light and dark balance, with recognition of seasonal turning points: solstices and equinoxes. Lists important upcoming events such as sign ingresses for every planet, thresholds, eclipses and retrograde cycles — and now meetings: the nights the Moon passes close to a planet, and the moments a planet stands opposite the Sun, behind it, or at its furthest from it. Personal: Relate the sky to your own natal patterns through references to natal placements — covering every planet from Mercury to Pluto, with sign, degree, and retrograde status. Technical Features - All astronomical calculations execute on-device - No network dependency for core features - Location used only for sky accuracy, never for persuasion - Works offline once location is set - Saved charts are encrypted while your device is locked - Available in 14 languages - Respects your privacy and autonomy

This release connects the almanac to what you can actually see. Five new features answer "what is that bright star, and when should I go outside?" — and one correction underneath makes every time in the app more accurate. What's New: - Tonight's Planets: See when Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn rise, stand highest, and set — with how high and how bright each one is right now. - Meetings in the Sky: A new filter on Cycles for the nights the Moon passes close to a planet, and for the moments a planet stands opposite the Sun, behind it, or at its furthest from it. - Venus's Cycle: Tap Venus to see its phase, its distance from the Sun, its brightness, and where it stands in the 584-day cycle from one close passage to the next. - The Out-of-Bounds Moon: See the days the Moon rides further north or south than the Sun ever does — and where we are in the 18.6-year rhythm that decides how often that happens. - Every Time, More Accurate: Sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset, twilight and the planetary hours were all about a minute early, in every version until now. They are not any more. Thank you for using Aperio. Clear skies!
