Highly recommend! Few bugs but totally worth it!

As for most people who downloaded this app, I’ve also been on a search for a way to block short form content. Unfortunately, the only way was to either practice abstinence or completely delete all of the apps. But this app is geniunely fantastic! Considering it’s just the 1st version, and factoring in how quickly these guys even released the app, some bugs are excusable. The software can be a little slow, and for me (iPhone16) the DMs don’t seem to work— after opening someone’s chat, it never loads in for me to actually send any kind of message. It also doesn’t permit me to message anyone new (prior to downloading SocialLite. I have to first go on my regular Instagram app, message someone there, so a new chat gets created for them, and then hop back over. But still can’t send any DMs through SL).And this app is FREE (with premium options, but it’s literally only 3.99 a month and not required for a great experience) which is such a rare word to see nowadays. Totally worth the download.

I don’t ever write reviews. I find them to be a waste of time, but for this app, I just have too. As a teenager, social media is a big part of my life. Not just the scrolling but it’s how I see my friend’s lives, how I stay updated on pop culture, find new and exciting ideas, and more. I tried quitting social media back in November and it worked for a couple months, but eventually I wanted to see my friends post, and catch up on things i’ve missed. But with that comes endless doom scrolling. I HATE that it takes hours of my day and ultimately ruins some experiences. A friend told me about this app (aka Social Lite) that has changed how he uses social media. I decided to give it a go and the way it immediately impacted my day was insane. I love it so much. I can stay caught up on everything happening, still get to see my friend’s posts, but without the addictive act of scrolling. I highly recommend this app to anyone who’s tired of giving hours to social media, but still want to stay connected.

This has been super helpful and really I haven’t been on it that long and I first saw the ad and assumed I would have ti pay for it like most screen time reduction apps and when ai downloaded and loaded it up I thought I did until I realized it is all truly free just more features if you pay but it works amazingly on the free plan and the paid is great as well, but I was avg abt 30 hrs a week on instagram and abt 10 hrs a day and now it had dropped immensely I simply just wish that there was a dark mode feature and maybe there is and I just haven’t found it yet but if there was it would be EVEN better than it already isEDIT: Found dark mode it is a premium feature which is totally fair because this app is already amazing for free

it’s working well so far, but as someone who is addicted to their phone and has a short attention span because of it, i’m finding that the little bugs and inconsistencies between this platform and instagram are making the transition between apps difficult. loading time is quite a bit longer, search is buggy and almost unusable, and when i’m dming people there’s a weird bar that covers the text i’m writing so that i cannot see what im saying unless i scroll up each time i want to. being unable to post, add to highlights, or access instants is very very inconvenient and makes it so that i keep going back to my insta app, which in turn leads to more scrolling. maybe im just a gen z who’s spoiled with the ease of technology- but unfortunately i think that’s most of today’s generation… if these issues were resolved it would be a perfect solution to phone addiction, and i’m hoping they are so that i can kick this habit once and for all!
