See what's going on around town, right from the bridge screen. WHAT'S HAPPENING NEARBY A new card on the Status screen shows today's weather, the next tide, and what is going on in your area. Tap it to see the full list. TRAFFIC REPORTS NOW COUNT Reporting a traffic backup builds your streak the same as All Clear and Gates Down, and you will see your streak when you report. CHOOSE WHICH BRIDGES YOU SEE In Settings, under Bridges on Status Page, you can pick which bridges show up for your area. Handy if you only ever cross one of them. ALSO IN THIS UPDATE A tighter layout for areas with more than two bridges, so you can see everything without as much scrolling.

Report the bridge, build a streak. VOTING STREAKS Tap All Clear or Gates Down when you pass the bridge and you will see your streak. Report on any day to keep it going. EASIER REPORTING The All Clear and Gates Down buttons are now always on screen instead of appearing only when you get close. Reports still count when you are near the bridge. EXPLORE The Community tab is now Explore, with new Today and Explore icons so it is clearer where to find your daily briefing and what is happening around town. ALSO IN THIS UPDATE Fixed the History tab showing the wrong bridge in some regions. Corrected the Wappoo Creek opening schedule. Route 50 Bridge now shows its Harry W. Kelley Memorial name.

Wappoo Cut now shows a countdown to the next scheduled opening. During the week, between 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, the bridge opens on the half hour, so the card now reads "Projected Open 1:30 PM (18 min)" instead of a generic label. We also corrected the posted Wappoo Cut schedule to match the current Coast Guard regulation, including the 6:00 to 9:29 AM and 3:31 to 7:00 PM closures. Ocean City, MD improvements: - The drawbridge is now listed as the Route 50 Bridge, with the Harry W. Kelley Memorial name shown underneath - Fixed the bridge history timeline, which was showing another city's openings - Cleaned up the notification settings layout Thanks for using TheBridge. TheBridge is now on CarPlay! Plug in your phone and see live bridge status right on your car's screen. Pin your bridge for a full-size view, check when each bridge last opened, and browse today's weather, tides, and local events without touching your phone. Bridge alerts can now appear on your CarPlay display too, so you'll know the gates are down before you're stuck staring at them. Fixed bridge notifications so your per-bridge selections are always respected. If you turned a bridge off, you will no longer get alerts for it. Also fixed Myrtle Beach bridge schedules in the timeline: Barefoot and Socastee open on signal anytime, so they no longer show scheduled opening times that don't apply.

Bridge notification preferences now re-sync automatically each time you open the app, so your selected bridges always match what's saved on our end. Fixes a bug where some Myrtle Beach users were getting alerts for bridges they had turned off.

Barefoot Swing Bridge (Beta) now has a live camera view in Double Check for Myrtle Beach users. Fixed a notification bug where turning off alerts for specific bridges did not save correctly. Your choices in Settings now stick. The Today page's "Projected Next" opening now shows the right info for each bridge, including "On Signal" for bridges that open on demand.
