PrayPal 1.7.0 is a feature release. The biggest change is full athan playback: when a prayer notification fires, the complete athan now plays in the background with system lock-screen Now Playing controls. You can opt in or out of the athan on a per-prayer basis from Notification Settings. The Settings tab was rewritten into clean grouped sections (Location, Prayer & Recitation, Notifications, Prayer Experience, Appearance) using familiar iOS conventions — full Dynamic Type and VoiceOver support, theme-aware icons that look right in all five appearance modes, and proper touch targets throughout. This release also adds a hidden Tester Tools section (5-tap the version footer to reveal) used for QA, and ships the React Native New Architecture on iOS. Everything from v1.6.0 — date-aware Home navigation, prayer-time caching, iOS / Android widgets, and the Apple Watch companion — continues to work as before.

Tab Navigation The app now uses a clean tab bar with Home and Settings tabs, making it faster to switch between your daily view and your preferences. Dedicated Settings Screen Notification preferences, sound selection, memorized Surahs, recitation history, and ayah chunking settings are now organized under a dedicated Settings tab — keeping the Home screen focused on what matters most. Improved Location Detection Location lookup has been refined for faster and more reliable prayer time calculations.
