more I've been using FitFido a few weeks now, I'd recommend it to anyone who's had trouble getting their dog to a healthy weight and monitoring it. My dog also has a few different medications, which the app tracks just by taking a photo of the label.

This app will help you track your dog’s nutrition and calorie intake. If your dog is overweight or has special dietary requirements, the app will help you keep track of it all. I recommend using it.

My teenage son recently adopted a dog from our local shelter, she'd been abandoned and was emaciated. We used this app to help her gain weight slowly, and now she's up to her healthy weight. It's also great if you're sharing care of a dog, I don't have to keep asking him "did you feed the dog??" lol

FITFIDO 4.12
A CLEARER HEALTH TAB
Medications, vet visits, vaccines and the daily log now sit in one row at the top of Health, each a tap away. Every card shows what matters at a glance and opens to the full details when you tap it.
DOSES AT A GLANCE
Each medication shows how much to give and when, with the day and time beside every dose. Tap the card to see the strength, the schedule, the reminders and the directions in one place.
THE RIGHT AMOUNT FOR YOUR DOG'S WEIGHT
Scan a product with a dosing chart on the label and FitFido shows the amount for your dog's latest weight. When your dog moves into a new weight band, the dose moves with them.
EVERY DETAIL FROM YOUR VET RECORDS
Add several vet records at once, as PDFs or photos, and check everything before it is saved. FitFido fills in the visits, vaccines, weights and medications, notes who prescribed each medication, where and why, and tells you which medications it added and which your dog already has.
VACCINES FROM A CERTIFICATE
Add vaccines by uploading a vaccination certificate or vet record, or enter them yourself. Each vaccine shows when it is next due, and overdue ones stand out.
A DAILY LOG IN THREE PARTS
Stool score, symptoms and notes each have their own card, with the day's status shown at a glance.
REMINDERS ON THE MEDICATION CARD
Change dose reminder times from the medication card itself, and mark a medication as given only when needed. Times follow your phone's 12 or 24-hour setting.
BUG FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
Better support for the largest text sizes and VoiceOver across Health. Past vet visits are titled by what happened at the visit. The first dose reminder starts at the next dose time. One button on each meal card logs exactly what it shows. Clearer wording in many languages, various improvements to meal logging, food search and the food catalog, and a number of smaller refinements.

FITFIDO 4.11
SMARTER MAINTENANCE MODE
Maintenance mode now learns your dog's own healthy range from their home weigh-ins and acts only when the trend leaves it. A single high or low reading is usually water or a full stomach, so it no longer changes the daily goal. When the trend stays outside the range for two weigh-ins, FitFido suggests a small 5% change and looks again two weeks later.
AN ANSWER AFTER EVERY WEIGH-IN
Every weigh-in now explains what it means: steady, a one-off reading, a slow trend inside the range, or a move that needs a change. The weight card on Home shows your dog's healthy range on the chart with the trend through the readings, and tapping the range explains how FitFido set it.
A VET PROMPT FOR UNEXPLAINED LOSS
If a dog meant to hold their weight loses more than they should, FitFido suggests a call to your vet before changing anything, rather than adding food.
YOUR DOG'S REAL MAINTENANCE CALORIES
Log meals and treats for four weeks while your dog holds their weight, and FitFido offers what they actually ate as the daily goal. A monthly summary shows how many weigh-ins landed in range.
A MONTHLY BODY CHECK
In maintenance, the body condition check now comes once a month instead of at every weigh-in. Body condition changes slowly, and the scale shows a change first.
FAIRER TO YOUR SCALE
Weights from vet records appear on the chart but stay out of the trend, since a vet's scale can read differently from yours. If your scale's steps are too big for a small dog, FitFido says so and leaves the daily goal as it is.
BUG FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
A warning when you log a food that is harmful to dogs, such as grapes, onion or chocolate, in every app language, and those foods are kept out of meal plans. A calorie figure or cup weight that cannot be right now has to be fixed before saving, rather than being dropped. Use calculated goal saves the calculation you see. The AI coach no longer suggests calorie figures for a dog in maintenance and explains what the readings mean instead. Plus a number of smaller refinements.

FITFIDO 4.10
A SIMPLER WAY TO LOG MEALS
Getting started with meal logging is quicker. Every meal now shows a target, and you log what went in the bowl. FitFido learns from what you log and makes suggestions, so a regular meal takes one tap. Meals with more than one food are easier too: add every food on one sheet, change one amount and the others adjust to keep the meal on target. Planned meals carry over, labeled Planned.
FEED TO YOUR VET'S AMOUNTS
New: if your vet gave you a daily calorie figure, or set amounts of specific foods, you can enter them as given. FitFido uses them as the daily goal and plans the meals from them, so the portions on screen are the ones your vet asked for.
BUG FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
Improvements to the loading speed of the Today tab. Various improvements and refinements to the food catalog. Portions land exactly on the meal's target, to a tenth of a gram where whole grams cannot. A short portion guide explains the first amounts FitFido suggests. The plan summary at the end of setup matches what the Meals tab shows. The calorie breakdown says when the target came from a FitFido adjustment. Plus a number of smaller refinements.

FITFIDO 4.9
IMPROVED MAINTENANCE MODE
Keeping a dog at a healthy weight is easier. FitFido now watches the trend for you and catches drift early, while a small correction is all it takes, so you are not left guessing whether the portions are still right. Its suggestions are gradual, and you decide whether to take each one.
KNOW WHERE YOU STAND AFTER EVERY WEIGH-IN
Each weigh-in now tells you straight away whether your dog is holding steady, and if the weight you are maintaining at no longer suits your dog, you can change it right there.
LOG A WEIGHT FASTER
The weight card on Home stays compact until you want the detail, and logging a weight is one tap away.
BUG FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
Enhanced support for growing puppies. Improvements to streaks. Weights in pounds and ounces now show what you entered, not a fraction of an ounce off. No more goal-reached celebration for a dog that is already at a healthy weight. Retrying account setup no longer creates a duplicate dog. Assign Food picks up where you left off when you add another food. Plus a number of smaller refinements.

FITFIDO 4.8
A CLEARER HOME
Home has been redesigned so everything you need is there at a glance. Streaks first, then your dog's weight with the distance to target and the weekly rate together in one card. Tap it to log a weight. Body condition now sits on your dog's photo, and opening the card explains where the journey started, where it is going, and the healthy weight estimate.
NOTICES THAT STAY OUT OF THE WAY
Anything FitFido needs to tell you now appears as a slim banner over your dog's photo rather than pushing the screen around. Tap one to read it in full, dismiss it when you are done, and if there is more than one they stack neatly.
STREAKS SURVIVE A MISSED DAY
Every streak now has three lives. Miss a day and one covers it, and you earn another back after a month of steady logging. Milestones arrive as a card you can share.
PORTIONS FOR VERY SMALL DOGS
FitFido now suggests portions to a tenth of a gram for the smallest dogs, so the amount on screen is the amount the plan asks for. Nothing changes for larger dogs.
ACCESSIBILITY
Better support for the largest text sizes. Your dog's details move below the photo rather than over it, notices take their own space rather than covering what is beneath, and every control is large enough to hit comfortably.
BUG FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
Coach insights now stay until you dismiss them and use the right pronoun for your dog, a faster Home, correct plural forms in twenty more languages, forms that no longer hide their buttons behind the keyboard, and a number of smaller refinements.

EXPLANATIONS WHERE THEY MATTER
The daily calorie target now explains which weight it used and why, the resting energy from that weight, the activity and neutering factor, and the target those produce. Feeding for the weight a dog should be, rather than the weight they have, is the point of the plan, and it was only implied before. Weigh-in calibration now shows the progress toward a reliable weekly rate rather than stating it.
CHANGE HOW YOU FEED, WHENEVER YOU WANT
Being told amounts or logging what you actually fed was a choice made once in onboarding and never revisited. You can now switch either way from the meal card, and keep your meal times either way.
BUG FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
Improved logging of non-catalogue foods, cup measures on mixed meals now shown only when every food in the meal has one, more accurate food scanning, weights quoted in your own units by the coach, a consistent way back through every multi-step flow, correct plural forms in six languages, and a number of smaller refinements.
FITFIDO 4.6
BODY CONDITION SCORING, REBUILT
When you pick a body condition score, FitFido now tells you what it means for your dog: how far above or below a healthy weight that score puts them, and the healthy weight range for their breed. The ideal range is 4 to 5 on the nine-point scale, in line with the clinical reference.
WEIGHT AND CALORIE CALCULATIONS CHECKED AGAINST THE SOURCE
We went back through every weight and calorie calculation and checked it against the clinical nutrition reference FitFido is built on, with improvements to the calculations for dogs in the ideal range and for puppies. Estimated timelines now use the full safe range for weight loss, so they are longer and more honest.
A CLEARER START
Tell FitFido your main goal for your dog and it now explains how it will help with that goal specifically, before asking anything else.
HOME
The Weight tab is now Home.
EASIER TO READ
Text on tinted cards throughout the app now meets contrast standards in both light and dark modes.

EASIER TO READ

FITFIDO 4.7
