Not a feed. No streaks, no noise. One passage, chosen for what you are feeling, and a quiet structure for sitting with it.
HOW IT WORKS
- Name what troubles you — choose one of ten emotions, or write it in your own words and let Ataraxia find the thread.
- Receive a passage — Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Epictetus and others, matched to that emotion, with its source cited.
- Sit with it — a short, unhurried pause built around the text, with a slow breath if you want one.
- Reflect — keep a private note of what it stirred, and watch your patterns emerge over time.

Meet the philosophers behind the words: profiles, works, and eras. Everything you keep gathers in your Marginalia — your personal collection of passages and reflections, searchable and exportable.
A DAILY RHYTHM
Each morning brings a premeditatio — a passage to carry into the day — on a gentle notification, your home screen, and your lock screen. An optional evening prompt asks, quietly, how the day went.
EVERYWHERE YOU GLANCE
Home-screen and lock-screen widgets. StandBy on your nightstand. An Apple Watch app with complications, so the day's passage is a wrist-turn away. A reading experience made for iPad, like a book laid open.
LISTEN
Have any passage read aloud in one of three unhurried voices, made for listening with your eyes closed — with playback controls on your lock screen.

The Inner Citadel opens the rest — unlimited audio readings, your full history and patterns, the complete library, Marginalia export, and premium widgets. Monthly or annual, each with a free trial.
