Adding a photo to a report is quicker: Take Photo and Choose from Library are right on the photo card. Super Watcher widgets stay unlocked for members, and Home’s Refresh now shows when everything has actually reloaded. Your notification choices stick when you sign in on another device. Smaller fixes for streak messages, place names on Home, large text in onboarding, and launch speed. Plus a smattering of performance improvements and bugs squished.

Notification improvements! • Turn on notifications once and report reminders, streak reminders, busy-day nudges and merch deals all start together. Turn any of them off individually in Settings. • New: Busy days. When lots of people are reporting, ITMO asks whether you can see The Mountain too. No Super Watcher Club needed. • The camera viewfinder now has an alignment guide for The Mountain and a rule-of-thirds grid, so your photos frame it the same way twice. • Fixed: granting notification permission no longer switches off the alert choices you had already made.

The Film Lab is here! Attach a photo to a report and pick a look, from clean and natural to deep blues and high-contrast black and white. Pinch and pan to frame the shot the way you want it. Three looks are free for everyone, and Super Watchers unlock nine more. Two new widgets. Put the latest Mountain report and your reporting streak on your home screen or lock screen. First Out of the day, a new leaderboard on the Community tab showing who called The Mountain out first. Share cards now let the photograph carry itself. The heavy dark gradient behind the type is gone.

Smoother photos in today's stories. Opening the day's photos is cleaner. Instead of a grey placeholder icon, you now see a soft preview of the photo itself while it arrives along with our fun hex loader, and photos you have already looked at appear instantly with no flicker in between. Your streak, corrected. Oops-a-daisy on this one. Reporting streaks now use the corrected numbers from our server, so your profile matches what you have actually earned. Times and dates read properly. Shared report cards and times in the app no longer change format depending on your device settings. Plus lots of random fixes (like: A Benchmark could fail to appear in the grid, and a photo could occasionally stall while loading, etc etc)

More mountain photos for all! See today's photos, up top. Open the Status screen and the day's photo reports now appear as a row of circles right at the top, the newest and unwatched ones first. Tap through them like stories to see how The Mountain looks to everyone reporting right now. Your Benchmarks, in the moment. When a report earns you a Benchmark, it shows up right on your success screen with a little celebration. Tap it to see the full details of what you unlocked. Plus fixes and polish to make reporting and sharing smoother.

Your report photo always makes it now. Submitting waits for the photo to finish preparing instead of sending the report without it, and a report you queued up can no longer arrive with the photo quietly missing. Times on share cards always read with AM or PM, even if your phone is set to a 24 hour clock. Less waiting when the signal is poor. Profile, Benchmarks and Community give up on a stalled request and show you something instead of spinning. Plus a long run of fixes underneath for reliability and speed.

Report photos look right again. Opening a report with a photo now fills the sheet at the shape it was taken in, instead of shrinking to a speck at the top. Your report history stays put. Signing out and back in, or leaving the app for a while, no longer empties the list of reports on your profile. Less waiting. Profile and Benchmarks used to pause on the network every time you opened them. They now remember what you have earned, and they stop waiting instead of spinning when the connection is poor. Plus a long run of under the hood fixes for speed and reliability.

Lots of updates under the hood on this version... The big one is benchmarks got improved! And for those people who love streaks... Two streaks rank higher: the 30-Day Streak is now Silver and the 90-Day Streak is now Gold. Plus we updated the share cards to show off our new instagram/threads handle: "@isthemountainout"

Fourteen new Benchmarks to earn. New places to be spotted from: the I-90 and SR-520 bridges, Lumen Field, T-Mobile Park, the Seattle ferries, and Crystal Mountain. Photo streaks: add a photo to your reports on consecutive days and earn a marker at three, seven, fourteen, thirty, sixty and ninety days. Two for good timing: catch The Mountain during golden hour, and report on National Public Lands Day.

Big news: Benchmarks are here! Earn stamped survey markers for watching The Mountain, each carrying its own name and the date you earned it. Tilt your phone and the metal catches the light. Leaderboards worth opening. Every board now has its own screen, including a longest-streak board, with your rank pinned even when you are off the list. Your photo, front and center. Add a photo to a report and it leads the success screen at full size. Photos in the report detail now run edge to edge. Cooler and clearer. The Profile screen no longer warms your phone up, and reports rejected outside daylight hours now explain why.

Make ITMO yours! Super Watcher Club members can now pick an alternate app icon for the Home Screen, plus three new themes: Emerald City, Wildflower, and Ember. See every mtn report bigger and better! Report cards are square now, so photos are no longer cropped into a thin strip. Tap any mtn report to open it full size for all the deails. A faster Status screen. Status loads and refreshes noticeably quicker, so the current verdict is there the moment you open the app. Also in this version: a smoother paywall with no flash when it opens or closes, a new app icon, and fixes to notifications, widgets, profile loading, and other performance improvements.

See more, tap less. This update makes checking on The Mountain more visual and quicker to get around. • The latest photo of The Mountain now fills the top card on the Status page, so you see the real view at a glance. • Tap any hex on the Home map to see what people are reporting there, with an accurate read on how much of The Mountain is out. • The Community leaderboard now shows the top ten watchers, and your longest active streak keeps growing every day you check in. • Press and hold a mtn report, a webcam report, or the ITMO Home Screen icon to share or report in a single tap.

This is the first update since launch, and it is all about making ITMO smoother and more polished. • Gentler animations across the app: content fades in instead of popping, stat numbers roll as they update, and the map eases in when you open ITMO. • Pull to refresh is more reliable and no longer hangs on a slow connection. • Share your Watcher Pass with a quick press and hold. • Added a "Rate ITMO" option in Settings. • Cleaner empty and error screens, so you always know what is happening. • Faster launch and lighter data use behind the scenes.
