I take the bus about 25 mins each way. Been doing the quieter exercises on the way to work and speaking practice when I'm home. Feels like I'm finally using that dead time for something

Decent at times, but pretty flawed

There are aspects of PomoSpeak that are pretty good, some of the interactive guided speaking lessons are decent, and I like some of the games. But in other ways it feels like it was just rushed out before it was done. There are regularly UI issues where buttons are covering the text on the lessons so sometimes the button is directly over the thing I’m supposed to say so I can’t see it, not just this but there can regularly be overlapping text or text halfway off the screen and buttons all over the place. The voice in the lessons is also quite glitchy and regularly glitches out before finishing what it is saying so again I have to guess what it was intending to say. They A.I. conversational mode (which they charge more for) is one of the worst that I have encountered, it is slow and talks to me like it’s talking to a baby and sometimes won’t even talk in my target language, I have 100x better speaking practice with ChatGPT or Sesame. Also the guided course part of the app that has multiple progressive situational lessons only has 10+ classes per level, and then it’s done. No more guided lessons. After that basically all there is to do is the mini games and the A.I. voice chats And the weirdest thing is that with all of these flaws their subscription model is very strange offering only short few month subscriptions that aren’t terribly competitive for what they are offering. Superfluent charges around the same for a year for much better classes and experience. I really wanted to like it more and for it to be more helpful in my language learning journey, but I will be looking elsewhere.
