I've been using the Zumper app for a while now and it's been pretty awesome overall. Apartment hunting is usually such a pain but this app makes it way easier. The layout is clean and simple so scrolling through listings is super easy and you don't need to be super techy to figure it out.The best thing is how current the listings are. I've tried other apps where the info is outdated or just plain wrong but Zumper seems to stay on top of it. The filters are great too. They make it easy to find exactly what you need like price range, pet friendly options, or neighborhoods you like. The notifications are a game changer too since I never miss out on new places that fit what I'm looking for.That said, there's room for improvement. The map could be better, like showing clear neighborhood lines or nearby transit to help with location stuff. It'd be cool if there were more recommendations based on your saved preferences or past searches to make finding places even easier. Also, some listings could have more details, especially about landlords or property managers, just to make things more transparent.Even with these little things I'm feeling really good about using Zumper. It's already made apartment hunting way less stressful and I'm confident it's going to help me find my next home soon!

As stated about, I want you to know this is written by a really none Zumper paid sponsored american. I have downloaded multiple apps from Zillow, Zumper, Hotpads, y’all know the rest. They all have been somewhat helpful. This is not a Zumper is a better than other apps review but a review that Zumper helped to assist me on my journey. One thing I would say would be to have the leaser state the amount of applications that have been submitted as well as the actual cost of the rental, including application fees. I Bring this up because Zumper could be a leader in ethics when it comes to renters search for their next temporary home. It’s Un-American to have 300 people submit an app on a property where the first 3 people were qualified. The market isn’t as saturated as we think, there is just an abundance of ill moraled realtors and leasers. I bring this to Zumper, because regulating the leasors allows all of the users of Zumper a better experience. Imagine a renters app where we can see the number of applicants, the potential of those who may qualify , and the cost of the application fees? It would become more transparent. Nothing worse than witnessing a potential home, actually scheduling a view and submitting an application and paying the fee only to find out there where 25 people ahead of you who already qualified, and you just wasted time , money and hope. Zumper I believe that you can help correct this market. Much appreciated for being part of my journey.

I did everything from filling out the financials, also paid to have an updated credit report ready for review so when I chose an apartment the owner or management company had access to it. Unbeknownst to me very apartment I was interested told me they cannot view it on Zumper. Why? Because they have to be on Zumper as well. The apartments are rented out and retrieved from another website. There’s no full disclosure telling you that some owners and management companies cannot view the credit report they had you purchase. The information is unreliable and a scam. I tried reaching out to them to help me and they receive responded very late. Also the response was not pertaining to my question at all. I tried telling them and they gave another response not pertaining to my concerns. If you want to find an apartment in a certain area or neighborhood, I suggest to drive out there or have someone drive you around and look for yourselves, you get better deals and get to see the apartments up close and not in an app taken by professionals to make them look like they’re worth more than actual price. All the renting apps are alike. Save yourself the time, money and headache. DIY!

I have moved ~10 times in the last couple of years and was finally ready to settle down in Chicago. However, I only had a 3 day timeline to start looking for apartments and sign a lease. A friend recommended Jeremy to me and within a couple of hours we were on the phone going through 15 options he had pulled for me in the area based on my preferences. We narrowed it down to 5 and he scheduled all of the appointments for less than 48 hours later. A few hours later I had found multiple apartments I liked and one that I loved - he even helped me to get some extra deals before signing the lease. After moving so many times and how stressful it was finding an apartment every other time, I never knew it could be this easy and downright enjoyable. I give all the credit to Jeremy and would recommend him to ANYONE who is looking to move to the Chicago area - he was excellent!
