The new Player. Tap the play button in the middle of the tab bar and AVA turns your goals into a spoken affirmation session in your coach's voice. Choose three or five minutes, or longer when you have more goals, add a calm or nature background if you like, and follow along with captions or a sleep timer. It keeps playing when you lock your phone or switch apps, with a small player at the bottom of the other tabs. Every session you make is kept in All sessions and plays again any time, even offline. Clearer goal details. Open a goal and its details are laid out in sections: why it matters, the target, the deadline, where you are now, next steps, what gets in the way, what you have tried and who is around you. Goals imported from ChatGPT no longer show their raw lines. Every goal from a ChatGPT import is saved. Paste the answer ChatGPT wrote for you and each goal in it becomes a goal of its own. If the paste was cut off, AVA tells you and asks for the rest instead of quietly keeping only part of it. And if ChatGPT still remembers the app by its old name, your goals are saved with the name AVA. AVA from the first question. Setup now opens with AVA herself, with her own portrait, asking your first questions. Wake-ups and previews follow the language the app is shown in, and an alarm that was recorded in another language is recorded again. A lighter wake-up preview. The sample wake-up at the end of setup now plays on a light screen, and the dark screen is kept for the real alarm. Also, when AVA cannot answer in chat, you now see a clear message instead of a reply that disappears.

Pick the goals each alarm is about. Creating or editing an alarm now has a Goals row: choose the ones this alarm should wake you with, or leave it on all of them. The wake-up talks about those goals and no others. A goal you added last night reaches tomorrow's alarm. New goals now go to the front of the list your coach writes from, so what you just decided to do is what you hear about, instead of whatever you set up on your first day. Tap a goal to see its plan. An ordinary goal opens an ordered checklist and marks the one next step to take; you can tick steps off, rename and reorder them, add your own, and all of it works with no connection. A goal about quitting smoking or drinking opens a recovery timeline instead: what changes in your body, and when, with the source for each line. Nothing on that timeline can be failed, and if you slip it simply starts again from your new day one. The reminders after the alarm are short now. They used to replay the whole wake-up every half minute; now they are a few seconds long, so turning the alarm off is not a race against your own coach. No more wind-down message at seven in the morning. An early alarm that was created as a bedtime alarm is corrected once, and wakes you like a morning. Calendar shows your events. It could say there was nothing in the next two weeks while your calendar was full. If you had allowed AVA to add events only, there is now a way to give it full access without leaving the app. Two subscribed calendars carrying the same holiday no longer show it twice, and the tab no longer slows the app down while your accounts sync. Your goals are in the Goals tab right after onboarding, instead of an empty list next to an alarm that was already set. Smaller things: the menu button at the top left is properly centred on every tab, and a button in Chat that never did anything has been removed.

Your alarm wakes you with your coach's voice again. On iOS 26 the alarm could get stuck with a plain beep, and on some mornings it rang twice. It now rings with the voice over your background sound, keeps ringing until you stop it, and opening AVA from the alarm plays the whole wake-up. Your chats are saved. Tap the menu button (three lines) at the top left of the Chat, Alarms, Calendar and Goals tabs (in the sidebar on iPad) to see every conversation with your coach, start a new one, or rename and delete old ones. Settings and AVA Pro are at the bottom of that list. Hear your coach the moment you pick them. Background sounds and voices now start playing as soon as you tap them, and a coach's voice plays over the sound you chose, so you hear your real wake-up before you set it. All eight coaches are in one swipeable deck, and they finally talk like people, each in their own way. "Nature sounds" is now actual nature: birdsong, a stream and wind, instead of a music track. Choose the exact days your alarm rings. Every day is on by default; switch off the ones you don't need. Goals are one tap: including drinking less and quitting smoking. Or tap "Tell by voice" and go straight to a call with your coach. Bringing your goals over from ChatGPT is simple: copy the prompt, answer a few questions, paste the answer back. The prompt is now in your language. The import now brings over why each goal matters, your target and your next steps, so your wake-ups speak to exactly that. The keyboard gets out of the way after you add goals, and your wake-ups are rewritten automatically when your goals change.

Your coach finally sounds like your coach. Every character now speaks in their own voice — until now all eight shared whichever voice you picked once during onboarding, so switching coach changed only the words. The wake-up screen no longer shows one thing while AVA says another. It displays the sentences actually being spoken, and it stops when the voice does instead of scrolling motivational lines into silence. Changing your coach in Settings now reaches the alarms you already have, not only the ones you create next. And the chat greets you by name, and can import your goals from ChatGPT in a single paste.

Ask AVA to plan a call or a meeting — "call the bank at 11:00" — and it now lands in your calendar for real, with a reminder 15 minutes before. Previously the assistant would agree enthusiastically and then admit the app couldn't do it yet. And when AVA can't do something, it now says so in your language.

An alarm you already stopped can no longer come back the next evening: one-time alarms now switch off after they ring, the way you expect. The alarm editor shows exactly when your alarm will ring — no more accidental 12-hour surprises. And your wake-up no longer announces a day or time that may have passed.

Pick your coach's voice anytime: Settings now has the full voice picker — male and female voices with live previews, not just during onboarding. New alarms keep the character you chose instead of resetting to the default coach. And if the microphone is off, AVA takes you straight to Settings to fix it instead of failing silently.

Your alarm now speaks in your coach's voice on every iPhone, not just the newest ones. The first alarm you set is ready immediately instead of racing its own audio. Onboarding asks what you are working towards, so your wake-ups can speak to it. Buttons are translated everywhere they were still English.
