Boater now has an annual plan — $47.99 a year instead of $4.99 a month — and the monthly price has come down. Pick Monthly or Yearly before you subscribe; it's the same plan either way.
iPad and tablet screens now use the full width of the display instead of a narrow column with dead space either side.
Shared vessels are fixed. If someone shares a boat with you, you get a read-only view that makes sense instead of an edit form that couldn't save, you can leave a shared vessel, and vessel settings are reachable on every screen size.
The free plan covers more: unlimited repairs and maintenance tasks, your own custom lists, the haul-out planner, and unlimited crew sharing.
Dinghy is a real equipment category. Tapping a number on My Boat now takes you where you'd expect. And First Mate gives directions to controls that actually exist — its guide to the app had drifted months out of date.
