Skin Image Tracker is a simple app to track skin issues like moles over time and to compare newer to older images of the same skin area side by side.
Key principles:
- completely free
- no ads and no tracking
- no registration or login required
- data never leaves your device unless you want it to (see below)
- Face ID lock supported for enhanced privacy
A note on data residency:
- you always have full control over what happens with your data
- all data is stored exclusively on your device by default
- if you enable backups on your iOS device, the data of this application will become part of your backups
- you can optionally enable Apple iCloud Drive backups, in this case the data of this application will also be uploaded to your iCloud Drive account
- you can use the export feature to send selected pictures from the app to others via email or messenger
- at no point is any data ever sent to the author of this application
This is a free app I developed in my limited free time and primarily for my own use.
While it works well for me, there might be bugs and I cannot guarantee that it will always work correctly.
I recommend that you keep copies of critical images also somewhere outside of the app.
