Fat Tail 1.0.5: • Search by city. Start typing and pick from the list, no ZIP required. Works for 31,000 US places, including the small ones every other app forgets. It's all on your phone, so it's instant and nothing you type leaves the device. • ZIP codes still work exactly as before. • A cleaner search field, and it clears itself when you're done. Still free. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.

Fat Tail 1.0.4 brings widgets and a smarter Daily Brief. Home screen widgets. Add Fat Tail to your home screen in two sizes. The widget changes color with conditions, the same way the app does, so a glance tells you what's happening before you read a number. Small shows the essentials, medium adds feels-like, dew point, and wind. UV index in the Daily Brief. See the current UV and the day's peak, in plain language, with burn time. Air quality in the Daily Brief. Current AQI from the nearest EPA monitor, with what's driving it. The morning brief notification now opens the Daily Brief, where it belongs. The Daily Brief now leads with your day in words, then the temperature and precipitation chart right under it. Still free. Still no accounts, no ads, no tracking.

Fat Tail 1.0.3 is a fix-it release. Notifications now work reliably, with a new "send a test" button to confirm. Alerts are honest about uncertainty: if we can't check, we say so, instead of showing a false all-clear. Feels-like temperature now matches the National Weather Service everywhere, including dry heat. Smoother refresh, a wind display fix, and other corrections. Still free. Still no accounts, no ads, no tracking.

Fat Tail 1.0.2 is a big one: • Daily Brief: your day in plain English, built from station measurements. Today and tomorrow. • The Receipt: yesterday's forecast graded against what the station actually measured. • Forecasts, Graded: a running ledger of forecast vs. field. • Severe weather alerts and a 6 AM morning brief, both optional and generated entirely on your phone. • Learn: 26 plain-English weather guides, built in, works offline. • Radar rebuilt: dramatically faster loading. • New navigation drawer to hold it all. Still free. Still no accounts, no tracking, no ads.
