A small update. The app now asks for a rating after three days of use instead of five. Nothing else changed.

Slackwater now runs on iOS 18 and later, so it works on a lot more iPhones. Nothing changed in how the app looks or works on newer ones.

A marine conditions widget and watch complication for Premium: wind, swell, water temp, and pressure at your spot, right on the home screen. The free tier now shows live wind, tomorrow's forecast, and the tide turns Premium would alert you to. Premium now supports Family Sharing.

Under the hood. Restoring a backup now checks every value in the file before trusting it, photos in the session log are scaled without decoding them in full, and very long notes are kept within what iCloud can sync.

Fixes for the station search. A stray space, the kind autocorrect and dictation add on their own, no longer hides the station you were looking for, and accented spellings now match: searching Mayagüez finds Mayaguez. Restoring a backup also checks its numbers before trusting them.

Wind alerts are here for Premium. Pick a wind speed for any spot and get a heads up before the NOAA forecast says it arrives. Gusts count toward the threshold, and a long blow is one alert, not one an hour. The forecast refreshes when you open the app; the tide and solunar core still needs no signal at all.
