Weather Metric is free site weather for UK construction, with no sign-up.
Type a postcode or a place, or use your location. The top of the screen is the weather now, with sunrise and sunset. Under it, one line says how your own limits stand for the next 24 hours: the crane out-of-service and careful-lift gusts, the MEWP gust, mean wind, the concrete pour window, the mortar minimum, the coating dew-point margin and the rain that stops external work. Tap it and each one reads Within limits, Approached or Exceeded, with the time window, the forecast figure and your figure. The three-hourly forecast and the hour by hour table follow.
Built for the way sites use weather:
- Your limits, set once for each site and saved with it, for up to 20 sites
- A 10 day forecast from up to five national models (the Met Office, ECMWF, NOAA GFS, DWD ICON and Météo-France), checked against what UK weather stations and rain gauges recorded, with the spread between the models shown as the confidence signal
- An hour by hour board for the next 48 hours, and a crane view for lifting
- Measured rainfall from named Environment Agency gauges, with the distance to the gauge stated, and a day by day record you can export
- A PDF weather report for the site briefing, with a QR code back to the site
- Share a site with your team as a link or a QR code to hold up at a briefing
- The 07:00 brief and limit alerts by email
- Live UK radar and the UK map, live traffic cameras near London sites, and drone restriction areas
- Sunrise, sunset and working daylight for every day
Every figure says where it came from. Weather Metric reports conditions against the limits you set; the decision stays with the people responsible on site.

- Faster: the first screen appears sooner and the page responds more quickly on a phone
- Rain records ignore faulty gauge readings instead of adding them in
- Radar is in the bottom bar, and the dated record moves into More tools
- Your limits open as one line; tap it for every limit and its window
