The only app that covers all seven ROK engines with a DellOrto carburettor, from the Mini ROK to the Shifter. Plus a logbook that keeps a note of what worked.
Works out the jetting for Vortex ROK kart engines with the DellOrto PHBG 18 and VHSH 30 carburettors, from real temperature, humidity, air pressure and altitude.
ENGINES
All seven, and that is the difference: Mini ROK and Mini ROK U10, with the DellOrto PHBG 18, and ROK GP Junior, ROK GP, ROK SV, ROK SVR and ROK Shifter, with the DellOrto VHSH 30. No other app covers the SV, the SVR, the Shifter and the Mini U10. These are the ROK Cup classes running a DellOrto carburettor: Mini, Mini U10, Junior, Senior, Expert and Shifter.
In ROK the rules only allow changing the main jet and the needle clip position. Everything else, needle, spray nozzle, idle diffuser and pilot jet, is fixed, and the app tells you the value the rules set for your engine.
RESULTS
The recommended setup for the conditions and engine you have set: main jet, emulsion tube, needle and clip position, idle diffuser —on the engines that have one— and idle jet, plus air density, density altitude and relative horsepower. Two ±10 % fine-tuning sliders, high and mid, to suit your engine and how it is built.
CONDITIONS
Weather data from two places: the nearest public station, with its distance and how long ago the reading was taken, or typed in. It works the same with no coverage.
ENGINE
Engine and homologation —the identification sheet it runs under, by year—, floats and their height, oil ratio and track type. Pick the track from the list and the type is derived from the track length, with the altitude filled in for you.
MIXTURE
A fuel and oil calculator: type two of the three figures —fuel, oil and ratio— and the app works out the third, in litres, millilitres, US or UK gallons and ounces. The ratio reads both as a percentage and as 1:n, and one button leaves it set for the jetting calculation.
LOGBOOK
Save every run with its conditions and jetting, then note what you actually fitted and how it went: lean, good or rich, separately for low, mid and high. Laps, best lap and maximum RPM too.
Everything stays on your device. The logbook exports to CSV with the difference between what you fitted and what was recommended, run by run.
TRACKS
112 tracks with their altitude, taken from the track itself rather than the town, which are usually different. Search by the track name or by the town.
SHARING
Jetting can be shared as an image card, with the track and the date. The logbook exports to CSV, saves as a backup, and can be imported from another phone.
UNITS
°C and °F, metres and feet, and mb, hPa, mmHg and inHg.
