Engi — Form & Emptiness
Weave the thread, or sever it
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
All is emptiness. Weave threads to kindle form, or sever them to return all to the void. A quiet, deep game of connection on the theme of 色即是空.
On the board, all is originally emptiness (kū).
A form can exist only while it holds a thread of connection to a Source.
FORM weaves threads and kindles shapes.
THE VOID severs threads and returns all to emptiness.
The theme is 色即是空 — what fills will wane; what is bound comes undone.
RULES
• Form: extend threads from the Sources and kindle shapes; light all three Shrines to win.
• The Void: sever threads. A form cut off from every Source collapses — and the collapse cascades. Hold off Form's completion for 19 rounds to win.
• A severed thread re-knits after a few moves; bind your threads into a thick loop and no single cut will break it.
FEATURES
• A 1-minute interactive tutorial — learn "the thread" and 色即是空 on the real board.
• Solo Trials — six stages of a steadily sharper Void.
• Free play — Form, Void, or watch two AIs.
• iOS Haptics — feel every connection, severance, collapse, and victory.
• Fully offline — no network, no ads, no tracking.
A still board and a clear tone. The deeper you think, the more the breath of connection reveals itself.
Impermanence, in a single move.
