-----
I started building Lotus Bud more than fifteen years ago to support my own daily practice. My hope was to create a tool that could support others as they develop a deeper meditation practice.
Meditation has profoundly changed my life for the better, but that change required ongoing effort and focus. I had to do the work myself, and Lotus Bud has helped me stay on track.
Many meditation apps focus on relaxation and stress reduction. Meditation can certainly support both, but it can also become a deeper, long-term practice that fundamentally changes how you relate to the world, your loved ones and yourself. Lotus Bud is designed for people who want to build and understand that practice without unnecessary distractions or dependence on extra content.
I am the sole designer and developer of Lotus Bud. I built it, along with the related Lotus Bud Mindfulness Bell app, because I use these tools in my own practice and hope they can benefit others. I aim to make Lotus Bud useful, simple, accessible and beautiful while giving you the space to practice on your own terms.

Try Lotus Bud Mindfulness Bell to support mindfulness throughout the day. It plays randomized bells that invite you to pause and return your attention to the present moment.
It's basic and what is needed if you feel like you need a special app to meditate. It's got a good bell. Could use a couple updates. But it works. Be better if there were a way to turn the 'journal' prompt off. Or even a delay to set before the beginning bell. It isn't ugly and it doesn't try to sell you other stuff. It doesn't have any social networking crap. It beats setting the egg timer in the kitchen. Worth a download.
Perfect for all levels
Grateful yogi
I've tried nearly every meditation app in the store, and kept running into the same problem, time limits. For me 1hr is minimum, which many apps restrict you to as the max. This is the best app I've found that will let me meditate for however long I want. I like that there's no silly options like bragging my success across social media, and it doesn't try to be cute, just clean. It's a timer with a nice bell. It has a couple other options if you want them- like reminders and goal setting. Well done, thank you for this app!
No Health app sync

Nice, but doesn’t sync with Health app to track your mindfulness minutes.
Great app!

Works just as they intend. Very simple. Just the way I like. Would be nice to have 2 reminders...considering you should meditate twice a day.
Changes in this release
• Added a confirm tap for widget starts – Lock Screen widgets and Control Center ask for a second tap, so a stray touch won't start a meditation
• Fixed the Log jumping back to the list on iPhone – Choosing another meditation in the Log now opens it reliably
• Ensures meditation view is visible – When starting a meditation from a widget, ensures that if another tab is visible, the meditation tab is active while the meditation is.
• Bug fixes – Lots of bug fixes to make everything smoother and more reliable
Included with Intention & Reflection purchase
• Added Extend meditation – Keep sitting after your plan's final bell, with no end time. The extra minutes are saved with your session.
• Added practice recaps – Look back on your week, month, or year with totals, highlights, intention progress, and top tags
