I had the absolute best experience with Kaitlyn (makeup) and Portia (hair) this morning! They both arrived early, were incredibly kind, funny, and so much fun to have in my home. As a toddler mom getting ready for family photos, I couldn’t have asked for a better team — they worked seamlessly together and made the morning feel calm and enjoyable.Kaitlyn created the perfect soft glam look — polished yet natural, exactly what I wanted for photos — and Portia gave me an amazing blowout that lasted all day. They were professional, talented, and just wonderful people all around.10/10 experience — no notes, just pure perfection. Highly recommend both Kaitlyn and Portia! Would pick them both every time if I could!

The concept of this app is great but they don’t deliver advertised quality services. They are only receiving two stars becuase I was able to get a makeup artist last minute. The problem is that you do not get quality people. There is no rating or review system so they have no reason to do a good job. If you get Christine L. in NYC or Nassau county, cancel your appointment. She did a terrible job for my sisters sweet 16. Used the wrong foundations color. Asked her to fix and made it look worse. Terrible eye make up skills. No blending of eye shadow. She couldn’t do a winged eyeliner. I made her redo it twice and I still had to go fix it myself. She claimed to have been in make up for more than 10 years. They are not doing a good job at vetting and do not give the customers the chance to leave reviews warning others of their faults. I am sure there are some good ones but there is just no way to know. This is not an acceptable risk when you have an important event.

I scheduled hair and makeup weeks in advance for an important photo shoot for a business I am launching. Everything was confirmed and while the hair person was there on time (and she was lovely) the make up artist wasn’t showing up. After 40 minutes I was starting to panic since I had a camera crew coming in an hour. I sent her a note in app asking if she was on her way when she replied that she decided to close her books that day (translation - I’m not coming) and that they should find a replacement. I called customer support only to be told that they don’t know why she didn’t show and that I wouldn’t be charged for a cancellation!?!?!? I mean WHAT? I spent the next 20 minutes trying to get a manager to find out what happened. They said sorry and that they would credit me a complimentary session in the future. I had to do my own make up in 20 minutes and feel like the day was really negatively impacted. I’m deleting the app and will never trust them again. Very disappointing.

Glamsquad was a dream to work with and so communicative and quick in response via text and email. To Glamsquad; Thank you for sending Kelly Kel. I can’t walk so going to a studio was out. She was so good, crazy fast, empathetic and nonjudgmental. Being 41 and so sick you can't brush your own hair is demoralizing. I needed my hair de-matted. She was JUST what I needed and all my fears and embarrassment just melted away immediately. I just really wanted to express my very deep appreciation. I am on my way to feeling like a human again! And the price was amazing! You have a gem of an employee there. I can't say thank you enough ❤️
