First up, your privacy settings now actually behave themselves. If you’ve chosen to hide a surf or keep a location under wraps, it stays that way. No leaks. No surprises. Just how it should be. We’ve also added push notifications so you know when your crew finishes a session. No more checking the app like a maniac. We’ll tap you on the shoulder instead, with smarter timing that actually reflects when things happened, not just when they synced. The quiver got a small but important fix too. Boards are now the length you set. No mystery bonus inches sneaking in. And behind the scenes, we’ve been digging into performance and figuring out exactly where to tune this thing. You’ll start to feel improvements already, with more to come as we keep dialling it in. Issue found. Issue dealt with. Let’s carry on. This release brings back the planned improvements, properly tuned and behaving exactly as intended. If you’ve deleted a board from your quiver, your past sessions don’t pretend it never existed. The history stays intact and it’s now clearly identified, so you can see what you were riding back then versus what’s current. No disappearing acts. The Feed also got a lift. We’re hitting reset. After rolling out 3.0.17, we ran into performance issues around loading and database calls. If it’s not working properly, it’s not good enough. So we’ve rolled back to a stable version while we fix it the right way. Turns out calling on over 4.2 million surf sessions at once is… ambitious. Who knew. We’re tightening things up behind the scenes and making sure the re-release performs exactly as intended before it goes live again. App stability and performance remain non-negotiable. We’d rather pause, correct course, and get it right than leave something half-baked out there. Thanks for sticking with us. We’ll be back with it done properly.

This was a big release, even if a lot of the work happened behind the scenes. This update is about making the app feel more alive, easier to use, and smoother where it matters. On Apple Watch, things got quicker and more intuitive. You can now start a session straight from a Watch complication, and end one using the Digital Crown instead of fiddling with on-screen controls. Behind the scenes, we’ve also been spending time on performance. Tracking down lag, tightening things up, and making sure the app feels smoother and more responsive today. And we’re not stopping there. You’ll see this continue to improve in the next release too. Quick one. We picked up an issue where distance numbers weren’t behaving themselves and started showing the same value across the app. Month, Year, All time, even individual sessions… not ideal. The good news is your data was always spot on. This was just a display hiccup from a recent update, and it’s now been fixed. Everything’s back to showing the right distances, in the right places, the way you’d expect. Some of you opened the app and were greeted with an empty Track tab, like your entire surf history had decided to clock off early. Not great. We fixed it. Your sessions are now showing up properly instead of vanishing into the void. We also spent time tightening up the charts so they read cleaner and feel more consistent. And the big addition this release is Year view, which is completely new and ready to roll. It gives you a simple month-by-month breakdown of your year so you can actually see how things stacked up without any fuss. Distance formatting got a tidy little refresh too. Shorter labels, clearer units, and no more odd formatting quirks.
