So i got in a car accident in New Jersey during Christmas before i heard of LegalShield. The state troupers came to the scene thinking they were there to help. Instead of asking if we were ok, (my fiance was 4mo pregnant at the time, and her younger sister) they went to search my vehicle and found my registered hand gun. (Wasnt aware it was illegal in that state, but is legal in mine) they arrested me on spot and pressed criminal charges. I had to find an attorney to represent me, i was quoted by a New Jersey state attorney (that was a family friend of my fiance’s folks) a $20,000 retainer fee, and was told based on my charges, i would face a minimum of 5yrs in prison without parole. And i thought my life was over! A close friend of mine introduced me to an associate of LS and i gave it a shot, my LegalShield attorney automatically saw the issue in the case being im from out of state, no type of record, first offense, etc, and told me they can help me! The LegalShield attorney charged me $5,000 and my case got thrown out, no jail time, no problems! Literally without LegalShield i would be in prison till this day, seeing my 5mo son through a glass during visiting hours, and my second child thats on the way wouldnt even be a conversation.

I don’t recommend this. It was a waste of money and time. The process to cancel the service is a huge red flag indication. Even we are in 2022 with digital signatures and everything should be quick and easy, not with this app. They will request same information written in the app, then hand written, you never know if they received the emails from their “security channel”, they might cancel representation without properly communicating it. Your mileage might vary here depending on the region and what lawyers you get. But in general the process is very slow, convoluted, inefficient, and after a letter nothing after that is guaranteed using this service, not even that they will answer a call or callback. It must have better ways to communicate and process cases efficiently and transparently with customers, therefore, avoid this company.Answering the developer: if someone have access to open the app and request to cancel a subscription, that same person also have access to the email to write a cancellation request. If the intent was security, the app would have a button, that when triggered send an email with a link to confirm the intention and request the user password to cancel. This is the right and safe way with easy access to the option. The fact that is hard to cancel and find information of how to do it, is a red flag, and the excuse used by the developer is another red flag that indicates how this is unnecessary convoluted and inefficient.

I have been using them for a year, and most of the info is not as accurate. Their attorneys who answer you are super limited and don’t have the knowledge to help you if anything went to court. I talked to a few of their attorney and they don’t help when things get to court. I needed their help with immigration filing, the attorney who answered my request ( Felix) is a scam. I retained him for $1500 and paid the immigration fees to him. He said he filed my application, however, nothing came from immigration for 60 days, not even a recipe number! I tried so many to get info from him regarding my application and he didn’t send any tracking number or info about the filing. Now he doesn’t respond to my calls or text. What blows my mind is Parker Stanbury's response to the incident, they literally did nothing. They will take the attorney's side and not give you his info to make a complaint about him. They also don’t take responsibility for their referred lawyers or even lawyers who answer your questions. They will do nothing to help you if the lawyer scam you. I feel extremely bad because I lost money and time and Legal shield did nothing to help me. Instead, they will say he is not our employee and we can’t tell the lawyer what to do. Please go with another legal insurance, they are not helpful and their attorneys are scams and very limited! It’s a scam and they will not help you at all if their laywer scamed you.

I recently was hit from behind while stopped for a traffic light. I immediately pulled up my app and followed the instructions for being involved in an accident. I took pics of everything and called my attorney. Everything went fine until the person that hit me refused to contact his insurance company and they refused to pay for damages. One letter from my law firm (included for the monthly service - no additional cost) and the insurance company direct deposited the money into my account 100% including a week of car rental. I love having an entire law firm looking out for ‘MY’ best interest.
