My first Hail Protector lasted over 10 years and was one of the first the company made. I used it countless times here in North Texas and I’m pleased to say it never saw one drop of hail - but I don’t care, it felt so good just knowing my treasured motor was well protected out there each time the threat of hail arose.I had to buy a new one those eleven or so years later because some of the stitching and fabric eventually gave way causing too much air to escape for the unit to inflate fully. BUT, I see on my replacement those issues appear to have been fixed with reenforcement in vulnerable areas.You do need to give yourself ten minutes or so to deploy the unit and likewise to pack it away, but if you care about your vehicle and don’t want to be either driving it around with hail dents all over it or dealing with the hassle of repair shops and insurance companies, then this unit is a sound investment.

Just kidding, but living in North Texas this app is a must have. I love the national map so I can get a view of what is going on overall and the local weather map is better than others I have used. Keep developing the app with more features please!
How to set up Push Alerts

On the main screen, touch the menu button at the bottom right. You may already see your city because of GPS, at the top you'll see the word Locations and a + and - sign. Hit the plus sign and manually add your area to the list. Then go to the push selection screen under Options and the pull down should to show your city and select it.You can also select long duration notifications or short duraction notifications. Sounds 2 and 3 are 30 seconds in duration. Sounds 1 and 4 are more typical quick sound notifications.
Terrible App - Be Warned It's an annual subscription

This is the worst app I have ever used. It does not effectively alert you when hail is imminent in your area. The worst part is, the $4.99 is an annual subscription. If you purchase the app for $4.99, every year on the purchase date you will be charged the $4.99. The purchase shows on your CC statement as GOOGLE*Hail Protector, however when you call the toll free number (which is for GOOGLE), Google cannot find a record of your pruchase, so you are unable to cancel the subscription. Next stop Apple to see if they can cancel this unauthorized subscription. You have been warned.
