It didn’t take me long to get approved to get started maybe 2-3 weeks (compared to other app I have tried to get approved for) But I’ve enjoy how simple it is to use the app. It tells you where items are on each aisle and of course you can communicate with the customer. They have promotions to get more money on trips And certifications you can take to get more jobs. Available resources to help with mile tracking and taxes. Loving the app so far. The only down fall I see so far is you can see what kind of tip you would get until after the job is complete. But you can see how much the job pays you (base pay) when accepting the job.Update: 1 year later. Still using the app as side money and still enjoying it. I feel the quality of customer are better using this app and tips are good! Some days I can do 2-3 orders and make $60 and I would say that’s consistent. If you give good service your customer will show that in your tips! A lot of great bonus money opportunities. They even have a program if you complete a certain amount of orders within 2 months with good eating the app will give you $50 towards your owe groceries! You get to use the app for free if you get approved as well. Overall I see myself continuing to use this as a side hustle!!

The app is cool but as a shopper I must say Shipt needs to do better in the communication department. They press us about time and communication with customers but that needs to be the same for everyone. There’s been many incidents where I have traveled 15 mins plus to pick up an order that was already picked up by the customer and NO ONE COMMUNICATED THAT ; to make things better you will only get paid half of that order which majority of the time is $5-$7 dollars I can’t speak for others but for me that doesn’t cover for gas/inconvenience .2. Your ratings/pay are based on various things which is understandable but when it comes to time it can be tricky. I’ve been in the store dealing with customers who don’t respond the quickest or at all, then you have to substitute or add things they forget or sometimes the service isn’t that great in the store even with WiFi . Therefore it makes you late for other orders even though I showed up and gave myself amble amount of time to shop their order so maybe Shipt should give more time or tell their customers to be more responsive and available once they decide to place an order .3. When it comes to orders that are considered Promo aka Late due to no one picking them up I’m starting to believe Shipt doesn’t let the customer aware of such because the messages I’ve received from members tells me they don’t so therefore that affects my pay/tip . Once again going back to communication if they can fix these things they would be better as a whole .

I feel like customers need a training course on how to use this just like Shipt shoppers do. Every 2 weeks we get a scorecard but I have no clue who rated me what or how to improve. I understand the need to respect the customers privacy but can I at least get an explanation? What does paying “poor attention to detail” mean? I got all the items the customer wanted and if they needed a substitution I got that unless the item was out of stock. I delivered the order to the right house so what exactly does poor attention to detail mean?! Do customers realize that we have to substitute to our best judgement and that there’s another category if they didn’t like our substitution judgement? One of my customers also reported a missing item. Do customers realize that if they’re missing an item, it was out of stock and we marked it as not found? Do they get to see the items that we weren’t able to find? Why should we get lower ratings when we aren’t able to control what’s in stock at the store? It’s also frustrating when customers don’t tip. If you have the extra money to pay for someone else to buy your groceries at higher prices and deliver them to your front door why no tip? At least a dollar I mean come on this is many Shipt shopper’s only way of making money.I do like being able to make my own schedule though so there’s that.For as old a Shipt is, this rating system shouldn’t have this many kinks in it. I know there’s many other Shipt shoppers who have the same complaints.

I love working for Shipt. Can work when I need or want too. I just a few issues with it. First is the timing they don’t give you enough time in the store with certain orders. Customers can be very picky on what they want. They often change their mind or add things. Which means takes me more time. Shipt doesn’t consider that. Shipt and the customers what everything correct and in good shape. Which I understand. I wouldn’t want rotten fruit ether. But again they don’t consider that when it comes to time. So as you are trying to please the customer your on time rates go down. Or marked as late when In all reality ur doing ur best. If ur rushing to do orders u may miss things. But if u don’t rush ur marked as late. Tips as well. I think tips should be mandatory. We are full service shoppers. Drive to the store for them shop for them which at times can be up to 2 hours. Then drive it to them at times can be up to 30 minutes away. We do everything right and no tip. Kinda discouraging. Last time I accepted two orders to target. When I got there the store was closed. Shipt didn’t give me anything for it. I emailed them and they still haven’t reached back out. We should be their number 1 concerns!. That’s just a few. I think all around it’s easy money fun to do at times but can be very stressful. Shipt could take better care of their shoppers. They put out two promos last week and I lost both because their app wasn’t working correctly. Again not fair to us. I want to give 5 stars but I can’t. Somethings need to change. The service IS HUge INSIDE A STORE!
