Update does not work

Very frustrating that this app to update firmware does not actually work.

Have been waiting a long time for an update, which is specifically mentioned in this app description (fixing an issue with the slim combo keyboard for iPad Pro 12.9).
Previously I loved the Logitech keyboard but after an IOS update certain keys stopped working. Have been waiting a long time for Logitech to fix this, and this says it addresses it, but the firmware update does not actually work, it says it has completed but the firmware is not updated. I have wasted so much time reloading and installing this over and over again.

Prior to this I was a big fan of Logitech but am now wary of spending money on products that you realize that can be turned into a useless brick by a software update. Really disappointed that Logitech don’t stay on top of this and keep updating the firmware to make the products work. When I contacted Logitech they basically had zero interest, and said once it’s beyond the 1yr warranty it’s not their problem to fix anything.

Suggestions for improvement

I have been using this the folio case/keyboard on my iPad Pro for almost two years now. I love the way the case looks and feels. It is very slim and efficient and stylish in my opinion. The keyboard is responsive and has a lot of useful shortcuts.
The only downsides are very minor. In my opinion the speed at which you can backspace is very limited and slow. Normally on a computer when you are holding down the backspace key the rate at which text is deleted increases the longer you hold the button. This is not the case with this keyboard. Maybe there is a setting that I have missed (I sure hope this is the case!), but I wish there were a setting that would allow me to choose if I could increase how fast text is deleted when using the backspace.
The other thing is that sometimes the cursor freezes and sometimes the keyboard itself freezes. I have found that I have to lock my iPad and open it again for it to work. I can also hit the space bar to unfreeze the cursor. Hopefully something can be done to fix these two concerns.
In all honesty, I love this case/keyboard and I am very happy with the design and versatility of the case. It is a very intelligently designed product and I am very happy with my purchase.

Combo Touch Case Malfunction

Similar to all the reviews here, about two weeks ago my combo touch key board completely stopped working. Every time I opened the control app, it would instantly crash leaving the key board completely useless. I contacted LogiTech about the issue and mentioned many users are experiencing the same issue. After going back and forth with trouble shooting steps the decided to issue me a new key board as I’m under warranty. I really did not think this would help since the logi tech app was useless leaving the key board useless. My replacement key board just arrived and this one is working. I have not opened up the logi tech control app and I am reluctant to do so as I am afraid it’ll ruin the replacement key board. I did contact them to see if I should wait until the app has been fixed before ever opening it up again so I will update my review once I hear an answer.

I suggest if any of you are looking to solve the keyboard, contact logi tech for a replacement, save yourself the time from the trouble shooting steps because none of them worked for me.

Overall, this was a frustrating experience but I will say Logitech support did work seamlessly with me to resolve this. 5 stars to Logitech support but the one star on this review is reflected to the app and developers for not fixing it.
