Description

**Synology NAS and a Synology account are required for this Application.**

**DiskStation Manager 7.0 or above version with Synology Secure SignIn service enabled is required.**

Synology Secure SignIn increases account security and offers two verification methods: Approve sign-in and verification code (OTP). Approve sign-in can be used to replace DSM password. For enhanced protection, use either method as the second sign-in step of 2-factor authentication.

What’s New

Version 1.2.3

• Fixed an issue where incorrect error messages appeared during setup of Approve sign-in when mobile apps were not authorized for QuickConnect access.
• Fixed an issue where users could not turn on Auto Backup and Sync after verifying with Face ID on iOS 18.

Stuck

My password doesn’t work anymore and this new password less doesn’t work. It says I’m in but nothing there. No files, nothing. Need help

Basic functions are great. Customer svc is not.

I can’t log into my system half the time because their authentication methods are garbage. Their secure sign in app will give me a 6 digit password with a burn down clock. But my quick connect will ask me to acknowledge a two digit number. Square peg, circle hole that I don’t have time to mess with.

If you use this as a residential consumer, be warned that their tech support will work with you as though you have a Ph D in computer science. I can’t ever get simple English to solve a problem.

***Attention Synology customer support, your team knows their stuff, but they need to be trained on how to help consumers with basic levels of network systems understanding to be able to trouble shoot their issues through email support.

It does it’s job but it could do more

I have other Secure sign-in apps like this that will allow you to approve requests from a notification pop-up and from an Apple Watch. Synology should update this app to do at least those two things.
