Tawk.to 4+

Just found this app today and could not be more thrilled with how well this works! I was so skeptical when they said it was free. But no ad version, and I was even blown away I could completely customize the color settings and everything to match our website! iOS app works amazing, so intuitive and easy to use! I feel like I have no room to complain based on how amazing this app is and that it’s free! BUT I would seriously LOVE if this program came out with an Apple Watch app. How many times do you miss a text because your phone was on silent or you left it in a different room? I feel like it completely defeats the purpose if someone messages you and you don’t see it for like a half hour. Not the creators fault, but this would be the end all be all of chat apps if there was an Apple Watch app!

I’m giving this a 2 star review, because the updates get worse and worse. We’ve been using it for 4 years now, and the latest update is very bad. I updated it recently and running latest iOS. When writing an intra-company message, it locks up. If I type to someone, or they send me a message, it lags for up to 30 seconds each message. It’s to the point where I just uninstalled it on my phone hoping a fresh reinstall will somehow help, but I doubt it. The older version was significantly better and I left a 5 star review in the past for you guys. I also reached out to you on your FB page when the last update messed several things up. It was a polite message informing you about the bugs, and someone who answered the FB message was quite rude and acted like I, along with several others were making it up. I’m reinstalling the app, but don’t think the iOS lockup will help. Feb-16th-2023 -Update. I uninstalled the app when I originally wrote this review and didn’t post it. There has not been an update for a while. I completely removed the app, then reinstalled it and it started working. Great! So, that was only 2 weeks ago. Now, the app on iPhone is back lagging horrifically again. It’s like a cache buffer builds up inside the app, which begins to slow it down for inter-company messaging. Very bad. To the point where I’ll send a message and it lags for 10 seconds, then 15 seconds, then 30 seconds. Is there a cache buffer I’m not seeing that can be cleared?

The app worked perfectly till the new update. Too many glitches. Hours after a user leaves website, it stills shows them on active chat no matter how many times you close the chat or leave it. Same issue with visitors.
Revert to older version, it worked much better.
