In transition from the bank-based arrangements, the new app lacks a number of conveniences taken for granted previously. Initial concept good; execution would benefit from some love.

For example, Notifications and app Badges would help to inform of issues such as system outages; viewing of your current balance(s) without having to log in (standard on virtually all banking apps & highly desirable via swiping from the app home screen); navigation to balance once logged in is ambiguous (get it wrong every time!); Touch ID (iOS) would be helpful to login.

It is not geared around convenience, which is the primary goal when out & about, taking what feels like ages to ascertain what spending you have the capacity to make.
Also, App Support appears to point to a somewhat out-of-date FAQ page.

Logging in- you should be able to log in with Face ID or a pin. You require your customers to have a long password with numbers and symbols, it is a long winded process as the app is so slow.
Home page- when I first log in there is too much on my homepage I don’t even need. The only thing I can actually do with my salary card is look at how much money I have left on it, simplify the first page we see when we log it. It’s actually confusing trying to click into all of the icons to find where my balance is.
I can see that other reviews state something similar from over a year ago so I don’t expect improvement. It’s frustrating I don’t have the option to leave AccessPay as it’s my employer that has chosen it. I dislike everything about it.

It does the job. You can check your balance and transaction history. It would benefit from adding some updated conveniences similar to other banking apps. The main one being logging in with Face ID instead of typing in your password every time you want to check your balance. Also displaying a “quick view” of your balance without having to log in. It could also improve by having a more simplistic display instead of the 9 tabs on the initial screen and instead adding 6/9 to a drop down menu option. PLEASE get Face ID log in!!
