Cleartune is a chromatic instrument tuner and pitch pipe that allows you to quickly and accurately tune your instrument using the built-in mic in your device.
Cleartune features a unique "note wheel" interface allowing you to quickly find your pitch, paired with a highly responsive fine-tuning meter for the perfect tune.
With support for custom temperaments, transposition, notations such as solfège, and adjustable calibration, Cleartune packs more power than most pro tuners, yet is simple enough for everyone to use.
Cleartune can tune acoustic or electric guitar, bass, bowed strings, woodwinds, brass, piano, tympani and any other instrument that can sustain a tone.
Most electronic tuners cannot properly tune a violin. With a built in temperament for violin family instruments, Cleartune will have the 5ths singing perfectly.

Bring back the old functionality and look
I want the unlock functionality back in the frequency generator. A useful feature when you are basically working in one temperament but want to tweak one note. The old pull down menu was also better to use and much easier to read, and the smaller pitch wheel was better when you want to quickly flip to a different note. I have the app on three devices and I have now made sure that two of them will not update so that I keep the older version.
Good tuner but one major problem
This is a good tuner, but one major problem, plugging in my acoustic/electric guitar on my iphone using Peterson’s adaptor cable absolutely does nothing, Cleartune app still picks up background noises, never have this problem on my iStroboSoft, PolyTune, FenderTune, GuitarToolkit, these app completely isolates background noise when my guitar is plugged in, bypassing iPhone’s built in mic (as it supposed to be) which is the main reason why I use the adaptor cable in the first place to accurately tune my guitar without worrying about background noises, if the developer is reading this, can you please fix this problem, it’s a shame that this is one of the highest rated tuner app and comes highly recommended by a lot of reviewers and guitarists but no one seems to notice this simple but major problem.

Cleartune is my favourite - and to be honest one of the best - tuner apps available on iOS. The short time where it was not available after the iOS 11 update really threw a spanner in the works. However the developer has brought it kicking and screaming into the 64-bit era -and it’s come out looking good! The interface is as “clear” as ever, but the change in font is a nice new coat of paint. If you’re new to this app - get it. If you’re an long time user, like me, this update is just what the doctor ordered!
