Description

Every home and office Wi-Fi environment is unique. NetComm’s CloudMesh App takes the stress out of setting up the optimal Wi-Fi network by walking you through the best placement of your CloudMesh Satellites. The App also provides you full visibility of the health status of your Wi-Fi network so that you can stay in control of your network. Your CloudMesh device will then continue to intelligently work in the background to ensure all your devices are continually connected to the best available Wi-Fi channel.

Worst app ever

We recently received our CloudMesh modem and satellite pod as part of our new internet plan for fibre internet. For the price I pay for the devices I was impressed that they came with an app so I to view how well they performed and check the house hold device connections. How wrong was I. The app cannot even recognise that the phone I am typing this on is connected to the service. It shows my modem isn’t working even though I have an Ethernet cable connected to my home security system and watch the cameras through my laptop that is also connected to the network. Have only had the devices for 3 weeks and hope the last and perform better than the app.
Pretty poor performance from a company that supposedly sells IOT devices.

Works on older iOS versions and finally iOS 16

As others note, this app is broken on iOS 16. It works on 15.x, and needs to be updated. On an iPad the interfaces is a bit clunky, but it’s a useful way to see what’s going on, on your mesh network, and what is connected where. I think its main purpose is to check the best place to locate your NS01/02 satellite units, but there’s a better way to do this: use the free Airport app with wifi scan turned on in the prefs, and you can see all the wifi signals in your location, their RSSIs and channels, in real time. Running on your iPhone, you can test for the best location for the satellite.
Update: the app now works on iOS 16: updated rating to four stars. Looks better on an iPhone than an iPad.

Constant prompt for Local Network access

iOS 16.3 and the latest version of this app do not seem to allow you to setup the app past this setting. Even when set to allow, it prompts you to update the settings.

The Google play app works fine, but it seems this permission isn’t being read correctly on iOS version.

The app is interesting from what I saw from my partner’s Samsung, so if you can get past this blocker it’ll give you a nice topology map and some other features. I hope to be able to use when fixed.
