Reason for cancellation

Love the app for rescheduling & digital donor card etc. Would like a place to put a ”reason for cancellation” especially now. If you are feeling unwell at all obviously you need to cancel & you can't rebook until you feel better, so rescheduling sometimes doesn't work. At the moment if you cancel an appointment you get a lot of calls asking why you cancelled & when you want to rebook an appointment. Which is great to remind people but could be done in-app & won't waste the time of the staff needing to make all those calls.

Super unimpressed

I really had a lot of trouble signing up through the application. I have a fairly good idea of what I’m doing with this sort of technology, and I expected that because I had donated previously that there might be some sort of miss match. That was easily sorted out with the telephone call which the application did suggest I make. However once my email address was entered into my existing data record, I found I was unable to verify my email address through the application. It continually failed to miss match against the emails that were sent. So I went online and completed the registration process there. Again I came back to the application to login only to find that I again had to verify which is fair enough. However the application failed to verify via SMS. No matter how many times I tried the verification process failed. That’s when it became obvious that the backend system is using Microsoft for user authentication. I had to give up using the SMS verification and revert back to re-validating my email address through the application. Finally after about my 10th attempt it worked. I roll my eyes and discussed as I encounter a lot of verification problems using Microsoft on some of my work accounts. It’s no surprise that it doesn’t work well here either.

RACIST AND RUDE SERVICES

At Brays Bay Reserve, Concord Rd, Rhodes NSW 2138 ( Mobile service)

My husband booked an appointment online and went there for donation this afternoon. Everyone greeted us well until he had to sit down and filled up form again.
My husband’s english is not very good so I helped him to understand well few questions to answer himself correctly. The manager (I guess) has stopped me for doing that.

After completing the form, my husband was asked for his weights, I reminded him to remember his weights correctly and she immediate became annoyed and ridiculous about my husband's inability to answer it himself. Before that she asked my husband, "Do you understand English, can you answer it yourself" in a blatant, scornful way that make us feel uncomfortable and inhibited. She then asked my husband to go to her own room to talk, she asked my husband why he did not answer himself but had to let me do it. My husband said, my wife repeated your question, not answered, and I answered you my weights already. Finally she said my husband did not understand English, so the yes/no questions answered dishonestly and came to a conclusion to cancel my husband's blood donation schedule.

Dear friend,
We are here to help not to due with racialism.

Next time Red Cross should put down in their policy that:
- You Must able to speak English to be a donator. ✅ Yes ❌ No

Developer Response ,

Hi,
We are sorry to hear that your recent experience was not a positive one, so that we can look into the specific circumstances of your husband’s appointment, we would encourage you to email support@redcrossblood.org.au.
