Description
A convenient and intuitive mobile app specifically created for AutoMed Systems patients to create and manage their appointments.
Patients can search for their desired clinic registered with AutoMed Systems to make appointment.
Patients can view their appointment details, cancel appointments no longer required and make additional appointments all with the click of a few buttons.
Appointments are confirmed in real time with no further actions required.
Family Members can also be added.
The services, appointments, and times available on the app are those that your clinic has approved to make available online.
If your appointment type is not visible, please contact your clinic directly during business hours to book.

Convenient booking system
So easy to book and manage appointments with this app but it needs fixing as there is nowhere to opt for Telehealth for Medicare patients with my doctor. Not is there any option for Telehealth for work cover. I always have to choose the Video Call option, luckily my doctor knows I only want Telehealth and not video. Other than that I love being able to manage my appointments with this app and its ability to integrate with my calendar.
AMS on the iPad is not yet fit for purpose — but is it good enough?
I can use AMS Connect on my iPhone and its ok, but only works in vertical or ‘portrait’ mode. On the iPad it insists I turn my iPad the same way, which is a bit hard when you have a keyboard attached to it. Most other apps these days allow both wide (landscape) and high (portrait) versions. Not AMS COnnect.
Two other issues… a) They used to promise to add any doctor’s appnt to your calendar and it failed every time. This is now fixed. Thank you.
b) I enter my first and last names, and suddenly it addresses me with a familial diminutive - like Freddy instead of Frederick. I dont want an app talking to me like it knows me. Yet there is no obvious way I can get in and change this setting. If you find one please let me know.
(This is very hard to read on the side, since I am typing. on the iPad’s keyboard but the text is going from bottom to top).
Im disappointed they have not updated their software to work on all sized devices, not just phones. I probably should make it 2 stars not 3, am I being too generous?

Hello, thank you for your feedback. There is currently no plans to expand the App to better support iPads in Landscape view. We'll do a public announcement if this change in future.
The App uses the Patient Preferred name that is recorded in the Medical Clinic, thus aligning the communication from Clinic Staff and other applications.
Forced to update to an inferior version
I was forced to update the app and it is now unusable for me.
It is significantly slower. Every tap takes 6-16 seconds to load.
Instead of being able to select my specific doctor and look at their available dates like before, I have to scroll the find them through all the clinic's many doctors. Then, rather than skipping unavailable weeks and taking me straight to my doctor's next available appointment like it used to, I have to tap through each week until there's an available appointment. This is an issue when my doctor is always booked out three months in advance (and sometimes more), made so much worse by the slowness of the app. It's taken a 30 second long process and turned it into 5+ minutes of unnecessary wasted time.
I made it to February before I gave up and booked online direct through the clinic.
I cannot fathom why this would be seen as an improvement. Why fix something that isn't broken?
There's also no option to manage family members unless I add them as a dependent.
Overall, I will have to go back to booking online until this is rectified. I used the app because it was easier than booking online, but that's no longer the case so there's no point.
