Our GP's can issue Medical Certificates, Prescriptions (including Repeats), Specialist Referrals, Pathology Requests and Radiology Requests, as well as offer general medical advice through the video consult. Suitable medical consultations can be effectively managed online via video call.

Best telehealth consultation app

Instant Consult are the best! Functional app and easy to use, doctors don’t rush you, always friendly, professional and pretty chill. They can send your prescription right to the local chemist too and supply medical certificates which is neato. I actually haven’t ever had such a consistently positive experience at an in person GP practice. I wish I could see these guys as regular GPs! (Maybe in the future...?)

On an overall note, even before they accepted bulk billing their privately billed consultations were more affordable than an in-person GP, which was actually extremely cool. They really could have charged a lot more back when the concept of telehealth consults wasn’t as widespread or even supported under Medicare, so you can tell they were focusing on the accessibility of the service even back then.

Only feedback I have is that the login screen doesn’t accept pasting of info from the clipboard. Please turn this on for those of us using password managers :)

Infection in finger

So helpful - better and easier than a medical centre and no awful medical receptionist to tolerate. My finger flared up quickly with a bacterial infection on a Saturday afternoon. After spending 20 minutes making calls and dealing with medical centres who had no appointment options and were closing earlier than advertised on websites, I ended up stranded in Rosny, where the helpful chemist suggested this app. My situation was pretty straightforward and easy to diagnose. I was appalled at the lack of concern, empathy or assistance available at the medical centres I called: I felt vulnerable but didn’t want to burden the emergency department at the hospital - which was what one centre suggested I do. This app and the service turned everything around! I had the consultation by phone in my car and was able to send a photo of my finger to the consultant m. I was very concerned by how quickly the infection was spreading and didn’t want to wait overnight in case it got worse. I was able to get a script for antibiotics (oral and topical) and could go home knowing I had a treatment option.

Great app, great service!

I’ve tried a few of these types of apps in the past with little success (technical issues, no doctors available etc) and I’d pretty much given up on the whole concept - until I came across this one. User friendly, easy to create an account and fast! Within 5 minutes I had setup my account and had a doctor on the screen. The doctor was great, I was only after a prescription but he still took the time to ask me about my health in general. Minutes later I had my prescription sent to my phone and I was good to go. Super convenient and beats having to find a suitable doctor’s appointment, make the trek to the surgery and be sitting around in a waiting room for extended periods of time waiting for your turn. I’ll use this app in future for any occasion where I don’t have to be physically examined or seen by a doctor. Great for referrals, scripts and general consults. Really love this app and I recommend it to everyone!
