EML Benefits 4+

I never write a review but after my 4th call to customer service of EML without having my call resolved, I am eagerly looking for a forum to write about the worst banking experience. Customer service cannot resolve my call. It will take days for you to wait for feedback and then again the problem is not solved. My card was rejected more than 5 times. I was supposed to buy something I really wanted but my card got declined , customer service cannot answer why.

Also my card was charged ? Fraudulent transactions. The customer serve told me MasterCard won’t entertain transaction of more than 120 days. Fine . I had to call Red energy who was very helpful in tracing the problem who then asked me to send a screenshot of the transaction. Because my account is closed , I asked EML a screenshot, again the customer service had to escalate the request and I have to wait for days. Poor customer service. First time I have encountered this in Australia. All of my calls which are simple seems to be too complex that none has been resolved .

Like all the reviewers on this app, I am frustrated at the not user friendly interface of this outdated app. The tedious task of keying your full email and password each time you want to check your balance is both very annoying and technically outdated, especially for the $8.80 monthly fee! That’s highway robbery as there have been no improvements to the app to bring it in line with easy use like other banking apps eg. PIN or Face ID for easy quick logins! Come EML it’s 2024 have a conscious and provide a decent and fair service to your customers who pay a monthly fee for not much in return.

I’ve never written a review about an app before but this one is just awful.
To check your balance, you have to go through the full log in every time - no facial recognition, no memory of email. And when you do get in, it freezes on the screen and won’t let you return to a previous page. Can’t swipe, click or get any response. After a while you can pull down and get a back button but it makes me cranky every time I have to use it. Come on, you’re taking a big chunk in fees and technology has moved on from 2000
