Woeful update, not getting much better.

Edit for new app. Most of the below still stands. Woeful. Location search via map is awful, always zooming me to something miles from the “search this area” point. Location search also is difficult, regularly returning places hundreds or thousands of km away. Eg Richmond. I’m in tas, searching for tas. Via map it puts me starting in Rosney Park. I searched in Richmond because I wanted to see Richmond. Not a place 25 mins away. Another vote for binning this new app and bringing back the old.

Original review of new app:

I’ve just renewed my membership and am second guessing due to the woeful nature of this “new” app. Where is the ability to just easily look at what’s on offer in a specific area? Why only map view with no list view? What about where multiple dots are on one area, how can you see what’s there. I bought the multi city and it seems it’s hard to change cities. Either scrolling like crazy on the map, or Searching on the city name gives a map view usually way way out of town. Please bring back the old functional app. Maybe it was a bit ugly but it worked well. Ive not yet used a coupon yet but in Tas you will find many places out of mobile coverage so based on other reviews this app appears useless for many areas.

Bring Back the Old App

The new app is absolutely no improvement! So many features in the old app looked and worked better. The map and it’s search functions were better, the fact that I could see if an offer had been redeemed on the front screen without clicking into the names of everything and just being able to browse lists properly by category. I hate that you are listing every location of an offer separately even off the map, when the offer is only available once and you have deleted all of my loyal years of history from the previous app along with all my review and saved favourite places and offers. This is honestly making me consider just direct donating the portion to my charity and skipping my renewal this year for the first time in a decade! I provided you feedback when you asked for it initially by email and said that I wanted to be contacted but nobody ever reached out. Perhaps you didn’t like what I had to say but I can’t imagine I am alone and I think it will be felt in your renewals. I also don’t like the advertising vibe I get in the new app. This is a service I pay for, I shouldn’t have constant additional banners at the bottom trying to get me to click to additional webpages and links either.

Frustrated

I’ve given the new app a go but it lacks a lot of what the old app had. I have two memberships but it’s not giving me all vouchers. I’ve been told when I use one, the newer one will become available but that’s not the case. I’ve tried restarting the ap. The old app had a sync option, not the new one. I’ve sent email query (unanswered), I’ve called and been told it should work. I feel like I’ve just wasted my money buying a new membership while having one current as the app seems to have mixed it all up into one membership with expired coupons where I should have new ones and one where I should have two. I had difficulty presenting a coupon locally as only far away businesses would appear in my search. Hard to understand. Used to recommend the app to die hard book buyers but I’m embarrassed to now as I can’t say this one does much to make it easy. Profile option on app also gives you less option to access profile information than it did previously. And now every time I choose Contact Us it simply asked me to Join Now! I hope it all gets fixed and then I’ll update my review but for now I agree with many that the original app was more user friendly and great to use.
