‘Food Additives - Australia’ is an app designed to enable you to determine the name of additives present in almost all processed food products. Whilst most additives are harmless you may have specific additives to avoid. Whilst you may know the name or the number of the additive you may not know both. This app will allow you to quickly find the name of an additive from its number or the reverse. The list presented is obtained from information gathered from © Food Standards Australia New Zealand and may not include all additives available in other countries or it may include additives not approved in other countries.

The app also provided guidance on whether a specific additive should be avoided or used with caution. Information presented is intended to be used as a guide only and is not intended to be used as an authoritative list. Further advice should be obtained from relevant authorities.

This app gives you the name of the additive but you have to scroll to find it instead of being able to type it in and search. Also only the name is given and no further information on the additive and you can't even select the name to copy into an Internet search.

Ipod touch Compatible?

I paid for this as it said it was compatible with my ipod touch, I downloaded and synced with my ipod only to receive a message saying that this app is not compatible with my ipod and was not installed!

Food Additives plus unwanted adverts

While this happens to cover most Australian additives in food, I was very disappointed that the paid for program has ads. Guess it is a ad-ditives program.
