Great for soletrader businesses - & free!

I have used numerous other cloud-based invoice apps & services thanks to multiple employees all using different things, I had to use whatever the Boss Man told me to. Now I am The Boss Lady and find myself using Square. Personally I find it great for what I need it for (self-employed single employee sole-trader mobile locksmith). Invoices look nice and professional when in PDF and I rarely even use the email feature as everyone has mobile devices more than capable. I didn’t even know people can pay me with ApplePay & GooglePay until a customer mentioned it as a great thing! Taking estimates to invoices seems clunky and could be smoother (invoice should have invoice template automatically but estimates turned in to invoices keep the estimate template/write up) but that’s a minor glitch. It could be education required on my behalf too. So I can’t fault Square Invoicing, 5 stars

I’ve used a few apps for invoices. It’s very easy to use for a small business. I’d like the ability to send a text at the same time I send the invoice via email as a lot of the time emails with documents go to clients spam folders. That way you could template a text message to tell them invoice been emailed and check your spam. I’m surprised it’s free to use and they only make $ from credit card transactions - this is a bonus as the last invoice app I used wanted $900 for the year and the credit card fee as well - however the ability to build your own invoice was good with them compared to this. Overall I’m impressed with this app and the fact there’s no subscription fees is fantastic.

Square gave me the ability to take card payments, send digital invoices, send digital reminders, create an inventory list and to be honest with you - look much more professional as an outfit. I only ever use my phone to do the invoicing etc. But can also look through historic things nvoicing to see growth year to year etc. extremely powerful and useful tool for any small business.

Had square for 4 months, no problems what so ever, easy to use, until the past 2 days, I’m a landscaper my jobs range from $40 to $30k, I’ve had $300 processed and 5k processed, it took 2 days to find out they wouldn’t process my most recent job of $12k, talked to square over the phone supplied them with relevant info + contract signed by client, wasn’t good enough for them to process and take their $300 cut, to save time I had to use the refund option, this has cost me 5 days work and a slice of my reputation, which has a ripple effect on my next 2 months of work, having to inconveniently move dates causing even more frustration to myself and future clients, so for what has cost me time and money I’m returning the favour with this review.DONT USE SQUARE
