Please fix the basics BYD - if we log in with Face ID we shouldn’t need a pin ! ( even the banks don’t need an extra pin!!) The app is so slow to boot - please just get to the controls without the marketing fluff. Please make the app available across 2 devises simultaneously (not log us out when we switch devices) - you give 2 remote keys therefore you must know there can be 2 devices in use and thus 2 sets of access required. These are all really basic things which make an awesome driving experience, of a really great car, a rubbish app experience. You can do better.

Although the app provides basic functionality, its capabilities are quite limited, especially in Australia, unsure about other regions. Here are some enhancements that would significantly improve the user experience:1. Remote Trunk/Frunk ControlThe ability to open and close the trunk or frunk directly from the app would add convenience, especially when hands are full or during deliveries.2. Multiple Charging SchedulesCurrently, the app only supports a single charging schedule. It would be far more useful to allow multiple schedules—for example:Off-peak and super off-peak rates on weekdays.A separate weekend charging routine.3. Climate Control SchedulingAbility to pre-condition the cabin remotely. Adding the ability to schedule climate control (heating/cooling) would be a welcome feature, especially in extreme weather.4. Location-Based AutomationAbility to supports geofenced actions like auto-unlock or climate activation when approaching the vehicle.5. Charging Station Integration Apps from other providers integrate with public charging networks, showing availability and allowing reservations. Including this would help users plan trips more efficiently.6. Trip History and Efficiency InsightsDetailed trip logs, energy consumption, and driving efficiency metrics. Adding this would help users optimise driving habits and understand battery usage.

At last the app is available in Australia. All of the functions in the information list work. You can wind up the windows remotely but you can’t wind them down, which makes sense for security. It is nice to be able to flash the lights to locate the car in a large car park- the range is not limited like it is from the key fob. It would be useful if they added a GPS location feature for this, which would also help if the car was stolen.The app requires the email address which was used to purchase the car, which might not be appropriate for some users. As far as I know you can get BYD to change this.

The app has some good features , I agree with the previous reviewer that being able to change your car colour in the app would be a plus , also :- being able to see your data usage through the app in Australia .- being able to see not just the percent charged but the kms it equates to .- being able to check the version of OEM the car is using.- tracking the vehicle needs to be refreshed , would be great if it could be live (i.e like uber where you can see the car moving.
