I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I think this in one of the best weather apps out there. Made by Aussies for Aussies. The free version has all the features you’ll ever need, whether it be the current, future or what the temperature feels like in your area. It also caters for fishermen , surfers and those that like to know what phase the moon is in currently and for the future with sunrise and sunset times also. The only negative I could give it is I bought this app several years ago , jailbroke my phone and after a year or so swapped to another brand. When I tried to redownload the paid version it said because it had so many updated features I would have to purchase it again which I thought was unfair as I had already paid once for the full version. The full version does have a few more options with a lot more past & future predictions but the free version is still the best of many I’ve tried , it just has small ads at the bottom and a few less features. I would recommend this app to anyone in Australia who likes to know current and future weather events ✔️

I like the iPad version the most but that’s because of the layout which uses the full size screen to the best advantage. Even the iPad layout seems cluttered on first viewing, but after spending a little bit of time learning the sections of the screen does clarify the information. All of the apps features, once explored, are fantastic. The district forecasts, and sun, moon, and tides are great. It now is very much my preferred weather app, and that’s saying a lot.

How to improve the best

This is an excellent app, the best weather app that I’ve encountered internationally. The array of maps and widgets is marvellous, with a wealth of information for prediction. What could be better? Here are five suggestions. Firstly, I travel a lot and would like to see the weather in my location (preferably by default) without having to add this to my list of places.Secondly, I would like to sort the places that I follow in a bespoke order. Currently when I add a place it stays at the bottom of the list. Perhaps there is an option to sort places by proximity?Thirdly, prediction is necessary for planning but I’d also like to know what actually happened. What was the temperature and rainfall yesterday? Last week? Last month? How did observation compare with prediction? There is a wealth of unachieved possibility for weather & climate apps to access here. We could search cumulative totals for any given period. We could interrogate the metadata (which station, how many years data, how many missed days...). This is a big, powerful possibility but a simple start would be to simply give us yesterday’s observations. Fourthly, the current 5-day predictions are great. Why not include the fuzzier longer term BOM predictions. Rainfall and temperature anomaly maps for the next month or season would do the trick. thanks for improving on excellence!

I had a problem with my iPhone and had to restore without iCloud backup. I noticed the Weather app doesn’t have any ads and when I went to restore purchases, it just said not linked to my Apple ID. I contacted Support got absolutely nothing. Because I don’t know how this is working on their backend and I checked with Apple and yes, the subscription is linked to my Apple ID and yes everything is fine on their end. But I will not be renewing this App. I live in Australia and the bureau of meteorology is very hidden miss when it comes to rain prediction and weather. So all weather apps give incorrect rain alerts. so I use this app just to get a rough idea what is happening? But when I don’t have confidence in a subscription linking then that is a problem. If this problem is fixed, I will change this review but at the moment this. I contacted this company two months ago and still nothing.
