This app has been a life saver travelling across Japan. As some of you probably know it can be very time consuming trying to hunt down vegan food in foreign countries, throw in that madness they call kanji and you’ve got yourself a real struggle on your hands to stay fed. Every place I’ve tried on the app has been where it says, open when it says, and serving what it says. Well done to whatever genius made this app happen, you’ve made this holiday so much better for us. I’ll use this app everywhere I go for the rest of my life. To a non-vegan it may seem a simple thing to eat abroad but as vegans we can waste a lot of valuable holiday time reading endless menus.....not any more!! Thank you!

Travelled EU for 5 months and the Happy cow app was my go to app to find places I could eat vegan. Easy to use, clear, comprehensive. Photos and comments usually reflect what to expect and were a good guide for us to find some gems of restaurants. Only gap is that it was hard to reconcile opening hours or even when places were closed (happened a couple of times we show up when it says it’s opened yet the place is closed - not sure it’s happy cow’s fault though) As a plant-based eater, this app has become my No 1 resource! Thanks guys and keep up the good work!

I recently travelled to Japan. Many people I knew who had been there warned me that it was nearly impossible to be vegan, or even vegetarian. Those people clearly didn’t have Happy Cow. It took a bit more effort to find places and I probably didn’t have the “authentic Japanese food experience”. However, I was surprised at how many vegan restaurants there were around. I got to try some beautiful plant based food, and experience the vegan movement in a different culture. This app made my holiday so much easier and created some wonderful eating memories I will never forget. Thank you!

I have been using HappyCow for many years. I can't imagine traveling without it. We use it all the time and it has saved us from not having anything suitable to eat countless times. What surprises me is there are still vegetarians and vegans traveling who are unaware of it and end up having to have something like pizza endlessly because they can't find the right places to go. Please use HappyCow - it's great!
