Sometimes getting into shape requires a gentle nudge. This immersive fitness app provides just that. Its bespoke regimes incorporate a vast slew of exercises to help you achieve your specific goal and can be further tailored by a paid-for coach. Crucially, they all come accompanied by glossy how-to videos. And they’re much needed: the 15-45 minute workouts—many of which can be completed without equipment or an awful lot of space—are tough and incredibly effective. There’s also a thriving Freeletics community (housed within a gorgeous Instagram-like design) waiting to share routines and spur you on/guilt you into another workout.

Like most people who were u happy about the auto renewal subscription I was a victim too and didn’t realize that my bank was charged a fee for the new subscription which I forgot to cancel and there was not reminder email sent to prepare me. I wrote to their customer support and explained my current situation. I’m in between jobs and in the housing crisis in Melbourne. It is terrible here. Even dollar counts because of the cost of everything going up. Lara replied promptly and assured me that they issued me a refund. I am just thankful to the team who showed me compassion and kindness which is lacking in todays world where Every company looks to extort money out of you. I still plan to purchase on the app but only once I’m able to afford it. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

The Freeletics exercises are hard and will get you pouring for sure. It is good and I do recommend. Few things however….the interface is a little annoying. It relies almost exclusively on your ai coach which irritates me a bit. I have no idea what direction the ai is taking me. So a bit more like a dictatorship. You pick your goals and then do what computer man says. Shows muscle groups your working and all that. But there is no way to pause the exercises once you commit to starting it seems., so easy to get out of step with the timer and order if you say forgot to get your foam roller or it wasn’t available or whatever. The videos also play and start the counter sometimes before they stream so if you’re unfamiliar with the exercise you’ve lost 15 secs waiting to watch it. The only way to start a set of exorcises again is from the very beginning to the end. You cannot for example replay an exercise if you were puffed or trying to work out the exercise it seems from where you are, if you sucked and need to get your breath back to complete the set properly. So not fun if you’re unfit. I think if you’re committed to getting fit you won’t cheat, so better to have the control convenience to pause for life getting in the way, like a friend at gym wanting to say g’day etc and not lose your entire progress. Maybe as you get fitter these issues will become a non event or Freeletics is a shut out the world kinda app which I guess is good in one way. Jury is still out. You have to rate yourself at the end of the entire exercise every time for ai on technique and difficulty. And maybe this is how it goes, if you barely completed it, be honest and the ai will change your next routine accordingly. That’s a lot of faith in ai for me, but we’ll see.
Dishonest company with horrible customer service. Do not subscribe.

I tried this app for 6 months. After a while I found the workouts repetitive and boring. I attempted to cancel. After subscribing and subsequently renewing via the phone app, I then cancelled the service the same way. I thought that it was over until 3 weeks later when I received notification that another 3 month payment had been taken. I immediately contacted Freeletics through the support channel but was told that the subscription could only be cancelled through the website or via email and not through the phone application. A refund could not be made. This is apparently in the T’s and C’s. I think it’s reasonable to assume that the cancellation method uses the same path as the subscription and renewal method. It is also clear that I had every intention to cancel the service. Unfortunately they are happy to take your money anyway hiding behind obscure policies. Multiple emails to their support lines has not made them reconsider their position. Looking at their reviews my experience is so common that I think it’s part of their business model. To make matters worse despite taking my money 2 days ago my subscription is still INACTIVE. I have always been very cautious and careful about automated payment and this company has reinforced my concerns. Hopefully PayPal dispute can resolve this. So many other reviewers have experienced the same as I. At the end of the day the money is not a big deal to me but nobody likes being deceived and cheated by a dishonest company. This is the first negative review I’ve ever written.
