SubTally is a quiet little app for the streaming, software and small monthly things that quietly stack up.
No accounts. No cloud. No tracking. Just your subscriptions, tallied on your device — so you can finally see what you're actually paying for each month.
WHAT IT DOES
- One hero total — your monthly and annual spend, normalised across weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly cycles, right at the top of the home screen.
- Sorted by renewal — active subscriptions are ordered by what's coming next, so the bill that matters tomorrow is at the top.
- Local reminders — get nudged the day before a renewal, scheduled directly on your phone. No push servers, no notification middleman.
- Trials and pauses — mark anything as a free trial or temporarily paused. Those don't roll into your monthly total, only what you're actually paying.
- 42 ready-to-go services — Netflix, Spotify, Notion, iCloud+, Disney+, YouTube Premium and more, each with the right icon and colour. Or add anything custom in seconds.
- Made to match — light, dark or automatic, paired with seven accent colours (teal, blue, indigo, purple, rose, orange, green).
- Export anytime — send your full list out as a CSV through the system share sheet. Your data, your move.
PRIVACY BY DESIGN
SubTally has no backend. It does not connect to any server. It does not collect, transmit or store any of your data on the internet. Everything you enter lives in local storage on your iPhone, and that's where it stays. The app behaves identically in airplane mode as it does online.
No sign-up. No login. No analytics SDK. No advertising. No trackers of any kind.

What's New in 1.2.0
• Redesigned service picker: subscriptions are now grouped into collapsible categories, with Custom Entry as the last row
• Free trials now convert automatically when the trial ends, so they start counting toward your monthly total
• CSV export now shares a proper .csv file that opens straight into Numbers, Excel or Sheets
• Exports are safer to open in spreadsheet apps, and the temporary file is removed after sharing
• Prices now accept a comma as the decimal separator (9,99) and reject invalid entries
• More resilient storage: a damaged entry can no longer stop the app from loading
• The monthly total now shrinks to fit instead of being cut off when the amount is large
• The Settings screen shows the correct app version
• Fixed a layout problem with the date pickers
• Under-the-hood security and stability updates
