Great app overall but lacking some still photo features
Honestly not a lot to say about the video part of the app as it’s excellent.
However they have neglected the still photo editing side of the app.
There are two features the app desperately needs - and they just need to be ported over from the video side to the still photo size:
1. Rotating the image. This is possible in video but not in still. Sometimes I want to rotate the frame for creative purposes. Why can’t I?
2. “Defishing” or removing the fisheye distortion. Can do this in video by selecting a key frame and choosing linear. Why not give me this option for still photos?
Please add these, it would save me from having to export to another app!
Mobile app needs improvement!
I have just bought the insta one inch RS (new one) and the first thing is, it keeps turning off after a few minutes. This needs to be fixed.
As to the app, it needs ease in and ease out adjustment, GoPro Max offers this to make movement smother.
The rotation should be able to be done with two fingers as in the GoPro app, selecting the rotate dial is an extra step and is harder to judge your FOV and movement between your set points. In general the app doesn’t give much versatility, how about a wired connection to your phone for a higher quality faster transfer? As a person using high end hybrid cameras you need to give more versatility to these users as this is why people will buy the one inch product. So far not that impressed. Yes I can see the one inch gives a better picture, but you need to make it more versatile for higher quality users, even on a mobile app, as many pros use IPads to turn around content. Please give us a better work flow on mobile content. Not wave a phone around to get FOVs. PLEASE??
Great software - bad hardware !!!
I had great experience with the one R, certainly the most revolutionary way of using action camera. However sometimes during important moment camera freezes up and missed all the action. Recently bought the one X2 hoping there will be no issue, well only after 1 week of purchase, camera freeZes up this time it wouldn’t even get in to the menu on the display, just a constant faint low beep from inside the camera, I tried to connect to update the firmware it wouldn’t work, even the sd card won’t eject !!! So it’s great camera when it’s working !!! I lost confident on the equipment, don’t want to rely on it or at least have a backup, nothing worse then missing out all the action and revenue loss due to equipment failure !!!
