Almost perfect

Much cheaper than other options. I have two things that do annoy me though

1. An option to drag and drop chores in the list so when my kid is looking at them they’re in order of how they’re to be done (in my case I repeat for each day so there’s chores, with maybe an additional one, for each day. I know I can choose to repeat but I rather it spelt out each day - my daughter has the memory of a fish). I did enter them in order but they’ve jumbled themselves up (one of Tuesday’s chores has gone to the bottom and Thursday one is near the top, not in daily order like I’d hoped) I’d love to be able to drag and drop so she can go from Monday down through Sunday rather than now having to scroll up and down to check she got all of the day done.

2. More icons or an option to use an emoji in the chore description. Some things, like fish feeding, is an every other day thing so I’d love to mark it different so she can see there’s something different to her normal daily chores.
Also an option to hit enter in description so I can go like:
Cats - refill water and food - new litter
Fish - feed
Bird - refill water and food
Instead of it being one run-on sentence. This one’s an all in one chore so itemising would be an awesome option

If I think of others I’ll add to it but that drag and drop option to organise chores how I want them would make this app perfect that’s probably my only real issue that irritates me

Concept is great though needs to be easier to navigate

Too many avenues on the kids profile.
Boss overview should be able to navigate all profiles at once.
Also not a fan of being offered it as a free service, arrange cards to arrive and then be emailed an ‘important update’ I will be charged an ongoing fee after 6 months. That doesn’t feel transparent so that parents can make a choice knowingly aware of upfront costs BEFORE they commit.

The system set up for making payments seems way harder than it needs to be. And also the only option was to commit to $1,000 for deductions. Which thankfully I was able to not approve but only after declining in my Commbank App because again wasn’t transparent at the beginning nor clear at set up. At this stage I’m still unclear on the process and would prefer to be able to allocate my own values and be able to make the transfer from my own account on my own time. The same way you make a normal transfer of funds between your accounts. Given that I am already a commbank customer. Why do we need another party to do this? If it’s a card the kids can use. Should it have a bank account you can transfer to?

Also, entering pins always takes more than one go because the app isn’t quick enough to register taps or when selecting chores there is a noticeable lag.

Pictures would also be helpful to allocate to chores for children who cannot read well.

Would be worth seeing these improvement before the free trial period ends.

Thanks for taking the time to provide such comprehensive feedback – we really appreciate it and will take it on board.
On the navigation, we have wanted to create first and foremost an experience that is enjoyable and understandable for even younger children, which is why the features are highly visual. This includes stickers for the chores so that kids who can’t read well can understand what’s required. We did this knowing it may make the parent experience a bit more involved to navigate, but felt that parents would want to see exactly what their children are seeing.
We’re sorry you’re disappointed in us introducing fees. We believe that our messaging around being in beta made it clear that there may be changes upon exiting this phase. The fees are being used to partially cover the cost of the Card and Account. We have granted all existing customers a waiver to help them make a more informed decision, we don’t charge any cancellation fees, and offers are coming for some CommBank customers also.
For transfers, you absolutely can transfer money to the Kit BSB and Account number through Osko, which you can find on the child’s spend screen. We use PayTo to facilitate real-time payment “pull” transfers (i.e. asking your bank to send Kit money). We use this service so that you can link a bank account from any bank, not just CBA, and set up recurring pocket money payments. The limit of $1,000 is aligned to the daily transfer limit on the account, to prevent unwanted transfer declines for customers. Note that any money actually transferred is only ever initiated by yourself, through setting up a regular PayDay or making a transfer from within the Kit App. We know that PayTo is very new payments technology, and eventually will replace direct debit. If we hear a lot of demand for a customer setting their own limit, we’d be open to considering this. We’ll look to uplift our in-app linked FAQs to make this clearer.
We’re aware that the PIN page could be slightly more responsive (especially if you’re using multiple repeated numbers in your code) and will take that feedback onboard.

A few bugs to iron out

Agree with a few others who have had said the same thing. It is a little buggy where it just sits on the splash page and never loads or comes up with an error to "check your internet connection" which happens on both mobile data and Wifi.

The other couple of issues are when it notifies you tick off a job for "payday", unless you do it there and then (if the app launches that is) you miss the opportunity and I cannot see anywhere to mark the job as done so you need to end up doing a manual transfer?
Secondly, I've had my daughter have her card decline in store , even though enough money was in there and the payment limit was $20. This was a $15 purchase. It eventually went through when I put the spend limit up to $40.

Thank you for your feedback and for bringing those bugs to our attention, we've passed this on to our team to ensure we can improve.

In regard to PayDay, we send a courtesy reminder to tick off your child's jobs before PayDay runs and you have until midnight that night to complete any forgotten jobs. If you have set up PayDay to require Boss approval, then you are able to override the $0 amount if you forgot to tick off jobs. Worthwhile feedback, we could consider sending the reminder earlier in the week!
