Satisfied so far.
At the start I had coverage for my wife on a visitor visa and then she change to a temporary resident. I rang Bupa to discuss the change. The person I spoke to was from the Visitor department and stated there was no change, I tried explaining to the person that she is no longer a visitor, but a temporary visa holder. Cut a long story short I was bounced around three different departments. I got a lady who wasn’t from that department and saved me money and got extra cover . Good app. But some Doctors are taking advantage of people on visitor visas, making them come back multiple times for no reason.
I would recommend Bupa.

Absolutely USELESS App
I hardly ever write reviews but feel compelled to warn others about this ridiculous App. This is probably the most USELESS App I’ve ever used. I changed our hospital cover in February and as of today, June 6th, it is still NOT updated in the App. I’ve deleted and redownloaded the App multiple times and still shows our old medical cover. You CANNOT start a claim via the App, in fact the App doesn’t even show ANY recent claims or ANY completed claims for that matter for any years. Do yourself a favour and do NOT even bother using this App. Just use your browser and log in to the website which shows your actual Hospital/Extra’s cover AND you can actually submit a claim online. We pay over $600 a month for our hospital and extra’s cover which is over $7K a year, just from us alone you’d have enough $$ to pay a professional to design an App that ACTUALLY WORKS!! I’m seriously considering changing providers because if Bupa can’t even design an App that can be viewed or used successfully what’s the point in having an App at all..?? 😤🤬
keeps crashing
Every time i go to submit a claim whenever i go to put in the item the app crashes and i can’t do anything, please fix this, it has worked before but it very annoying.
Also when i went to go into the app the other day, i had to re-login, then wait for an email to verify who i was then set a pin number and make touch ID available. Sure not a problem. But today I had to do that again, i’ve already set a pin, what is the point if i still have to wait forever for an email verification, at least do a text message if you are gonna do it every time. Once i was fed up and realised i wasn’t going to be able to make my claim through the app i went the website where i have to log in again and then it asked me for the email verification…. stop doing that!

We're aware there've been some issues relating to the claiming experience on the myBupa app, and rest assured it's something we're looking into and are working to implement a fix for as soon as possible.
With regard to the verification code, we've recently introduced Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in an effort to strengthen the security of myBupa, as we take the protection of our customers' personal information incredibly seriously. We're currently only sending the one-time code out via email, so there won't be a way to change this to be sent as a text.
Although you'll be asked to do this each time you log into myBupa on a web browser, it does seem rather strange you're being prompted to do this every time you log into the app, so I'd first recommend making sure you're not logging out of the app each time you close it.
