Keeps getting worse

The latest iteration of the NT News App has taken category headings from the menu and made them mast heads, getting rid of the previous useful categories they had. But what’s worse is that at least the first 3 of these now carry identical stories. The picture illustrations are downright capricious, for example a story on a UK politician, Johnson, illustrated with a picture of a US ex politician- Scwartznegger. Their World News and Entertainment sections carry the same stories, presumably they can’t decide which one suits the Royal Family. And of course most of that is not Journalism anyway, but simply copied from social media. Why? Surely those who are interested will find it on social media and those who are not will ignore it. Stories inviting discussion have no rhyme or reason and often the feedback section is down. When it does work it’s obvious feedback is coming from all News mastheads and not just readers of the NT News. What could be a useful sounding board for local comments is so inundated with interstate input that it is no longer of any value. The App is quickly becoming the same.

Could improve a lot - update: a helluva lot

Only been using for a couple of weeks but it seems quite unstable and crashes, sometimes before it has fully opened as well.
From the details on the app store, this was created by the same mob that created several others but lacks a couple of niceties. For example, the crosswords and sudoku cannot be filled on the screen which also means there is no way to check progress. The app suggests the puzzles are in a ready-to-print but surely this defeats the purpose of NOT using paper?

The news items themselves, though, are easy to read and the images are nice and sharp.
---------------------------
PS - very hard to do update reviews
Some months later, it still crashes so much that I haven't been able to read the whole paper - had to go to browser - for about a month now using this app.
Why this is so unstable is surprising since it comes out of the same crowd that do the Adelaide advertiser and the Herald which IOS apps are easier to use and read, as well as stable.
EDIT
Despite upgrades, the app still usually crashes. Upon opening, it often tells me I don't have an internet connection then proceeds to tell me There is a download problem so try later. I also get a message about accessing the iPad version but have no idea what means.

As has been said, the content is fine but the app itself is unreliable

Not Territory Tough

Was excited to learn that the NT News had finally caught up with its sister mastheads in other jurisdictions and released an app to read the digital edition. This excitement was short lived when trying to use the app. Continual crashes throughout the experience.

Sure. You can read it online, but that's no good on a 4 hour plane trip when having to travel down south.

Toughen the app up fellas. You're letting those southerners prove that the NT is behind the times.
