Not a fan since the update
It would be nice to be able to remove the discover group. After years of using the app, I just don’t need it and it’s clogs up the screen. At least hide it somewhere in the menu so I don’t have to see it.
Secondly, I can’t archive posts I’ve seen so I have to scroll thru the same useless posts and makes it difficult to find a specific post so this screen is annoying. This WOULD be fine because I can remove it from the groups page, however, I have 2 kids so am subscribed to 2 year groups and while I can archive posts here, I have to flick back and forth between groups to see what’s going on. Ideally, the main screen should show all the groups I’m subscribed to in a single screen AND I should be allowed to archive the posts I no longer want to see. The user experience just seems over complicated for what could just be one simple notice board.
Oh and it would be nice to be able to flip my screen and read notices in landscape. PDFs have tiny font and it’s annoying having to zoom in and out.
This app doesn’t work
I’m a student at a high school I downloaded this pile of garbage because my parents had told to check about online learning so I made an account to access the rest of the app when I’ve finished the set up of my account I type in my email and password which I had entered mere seconds before I press sign in the buffering symbol cane up for a split second then went away nothing happened I repeat for about ten times and I get nowhere.
I have a school peer who has been able to this app and they have trouble finding things as simple as finding a year level specific event and cannot find it in the user unfriendly swamp that is this app recently he has resolved to justify to the school office to get all of information with I recall was the exact reason why my school had used skoolbag to avoid that exact use of the school office
If you are a school principal or administrator or something along those lines I implore you not to curse this app upon students and parents
Don’t know what happened
Not sure what went wrong once I updated the app. It was working perfectly fine before the update. Now it opens up and stays on the app image which means no access to the notifications or newsletters from my child’s school. I have my notifications on but when I click on it to go into the app, it still won’t let me view anything.
It’s getting frustrating because the last app was a whole lot better in my opinion. There isn’t really many updates to the groups such as the kindergarten for example, so it’s just a waste of space on this app, because everything we need to know is basically on the main newsletters page.
Things at my child’s school has been postponed and I didn’t know this til my child came home with a newsletter. I would’ve known this a week prior if the app was reliable.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
