Copy of all your video conversations with doctors - check. Data stored in unfriendly regimes and forever - check. Funded by the Saudi family - the ones who compete with Alberta - Check.
Bad idea. You’ll never get your health data back. READ THE TERMS.
Not to mention their doctors do little more than refer you to doctors who can actually * do something*. How do Babylon doctors take your blood pressure? How do they check to see if you have a torn ligament? They can’t. You can’t even see the same doctor.
This is a walk in clinic without the quality of a walk in clinic. The biggest issue though is their permanent copy of your data.
Our govt is funding a private for profit company for health delivery, while allowing thousands of doctors in the province be forced into closure due to lack of government funding during this pandemic. A huge conflict of interest , and this will end up costing our system more money.
Tried it a few times for my real symptoms to see what would happen, and every time the “bot” told me to call 911
An insult to family physicians
This program is a complete insult to family physicians who are trying to provide good, continuity of care for their patients. They provide walk-in style medicine with no follow-up and no continuity. The government should be instead focusing on providing funding and resources to allow family physicians to provide this service to their patients.
