You won’t pass the registration. We can understand that the organization is a non-profit, but that doesn’t excuse failing at the very first step - registration. The app asks you to scan front and back of the PR card or Citizenship but the system doesn’t work, it doesn’t matter what background you use or light conditions, using different phones an all, it won’t work. Developers response is to reinstall the app and “keep trying”. How many times you ask? Well anything from 1-1000 times or until your patience runs out after 2 hours (like me). At this point I rather pay for tickets and venues and support the parks than trying to use the app. The organization has a Honourable idea to help new Canadians, but with an inexcusable extremely frustrating app.

After 30 minutes of juggling my PR card I’ve managed to get past scanning, just to see empty screen with «check if your information is correct». Ok, whatever, clicked on «Yes», provided more info about myself, clicked on «Submit» and got a big and nice «Can’t create profile».Restarted app - now I need to rescan PR card again. To hell with that.

Cannot register because citizenship certificate scan cannot detect gender

I never write a review but this is a shame. When prompted I scanned my citizenship certificate but the app couldn’t detect the gender. I thought it was because of the French language so uninstalled it and repeated the process and it still the same. Certificate is out of plastic sleeve, well lit, very clear and the phone camera is very good. Please fix this or let us input our own data and do the verification on the backend.
